Hi all - I bought a 2025 TRD Pro a few months back and it’s time for the 10k mile service. I’d normally do the oil change myself, but given the engine history with these trucks, and the fact the vehicle is under warranty, I’d like to have the dealer do the oil service this time.

Unfortunately I’ve had bad experiences with dealer service departments in the past. Does anyone have a good recommendation for a dealer they trust with a proven history of doing good work and not damaging the vehicle while it’s in for service? I’m very particular so hopefully someone who is as well can opine. Thanks!

Not capo valley Toyota. They tore one of my CVs when they replaced a leaking front diff seal. Also had a few issues pop up after the engine recall. Both of these issues were resolved, but not great quality control. Service advisors there are also a bit clueless. I’ve heard nothing but great things about RSM Toyota, including from a friend who worked there as a tech for a few months.

Depending where you live and convenience of travel will be a factor to as where you want to go. Stay away from Toyota of Glendora. Sales people , Mgr, etc . are all fine for dealing. But Service Mgr will stick to what Toyota recommends only. Example; (many dealers may be in this mix) - Will not give you an oil change that comes with a new car contract (that you paid for) unless it meets the factory recommended schedule. So if you want a break in oil change, you have to pay for it. And then there comes the question if they actually did it. The reason I say that. The service Mgr.'s response to my requests comes with questions as to why I want to go against Toyota's recommendations and the time they have to spend on such a minor concern. Hodgepodge, it's my vehicle and I paid for the service up front. So went to the new Toyota Envision of West Covina. I asked a lot of questions and decided to try them. Very pleasant experience. Said I could use my free (yeah right, nothing is free) oil changes any time I wanted. They said normally, oil change, filter and tire rotation was $109. They would sell me 5 for $250. So I switched dealerships for now. Also, Longo Toyota in El Monte is good as well (just a little further for me). My wife has a Lexis and we go to Longo Lexis for her car and couldn't be happier. They really do the VIP treatment there. Just my 2 cents, hope it helps.

"SoCal" is a BIG area. Can you narrow the location down a bit of where you are wanting a recommendation?
