I think Eurodriver once posted a pic of his un-protected dash display. It looked like he had cleaned with steel wool. LOL!

After seeing that, the ScreenProTech kit was the first thing I installed on mine. It's been perfect. I highly recommend the matte finish for both the infotainment screen and the dash display. It cuts down on the sun glare a bunch.

ya, on any vehicle Ive ever had its impossible to not scratch that dash area, just buy the set and you'll be good, it also hides some light scratches if you have any, great product

just dont be shy with the lube you use when you install it, it will then take a week or so to clear up but it will

Yeah, that product is so far overpriced it isn't funny. Tempered glass does come in curved applications, although I get that one likely doesn't exist for the Tundra, it can't hurt to ask.

As I already have the 14" center screen protected, if anyone finds a gauge cluster protector only please post the link here.

When I went to install my tempered glass I realized I was pre-cleaning the original cover. Never noticed it was there, but luckily I figured it out before I tried to stick my protector on there. I only noticed it was there because I was trying to clean what I thought was a smudge or small scratch, then the whole thing moved.

The thin factory protective cover on the 14" screen is intended just for shipping. The dealership is suppose to remove that as part of their pre-delivery check list.

Hey all. Quick update. I received an email from screenprotech about my inquiry into buying just a gauge protector. They said they'd help me out. Ill let you all know when I hear more but it sounds promising.

I'll save you the trouble. I emailed them as well about this... Here is their reply...

See any problems here? It's just a $15 off coupon code. $40 for just the cluster cover is insanity.

You own a $70K truck, and you won't spend $40 to protect the dash display? Hmmm....

Agree. I see those fine scratches in the gauge display everyday! Ordered the gauge display and a backup using the code DRIVERONLY...$54 for 2 and I will have a backup.

its worth it, put plenty of spray lube on when you put it on dont be shy. that way you can move it around a bunch to get it perfect

it will dry up and be clear over a few days

I made the mistake of not enough the first time I tried and had to start over

Cost of vehicle is irrelevant to price gouging. Bold of you to assume I paid 70k.. And also wrong. Your logic...:monocle:

    no, don't do that.

if you even touch it it scratches, I would really just do the absolute minimum to clean it before install.

the nice thing is the protector will makes the really fine scratches go away

No. Just follow the installation instructions to a T.

If your infotainment screen and dash display are dusty, I recommend using compressed air to blow the dust off. The worst thing you can do is try to remove the dust by wiping it off with a micro-fiber cloth. And as Borla said, don't be shy with the spray lube.

I took my time and was very careful when I installed my ScreenProTech kit. The results were perfect except for one tiny bubble that I couldn't squeegee out of my 14" screen. That went away in a couple of days. I think it took me a total about 20-25 minutes.
