Where did you find it because every where I searched no one has it in stock?

    Let me know, thanks

I don't think this is true. I ran several successive tanks of super unleaded through my Tundra shortly after I got it and felt no improvement. I know Fords are known to improve HP with better fuel but I don't Toyota engines do it without an actual ECU program change.

It is not available after purchase. Toyota is working on making it available after purchase, but unknown if it will be made available to previous model years.

I’m still frustrated how Toyota has handled the TRD Performance Package. My dealer placed an order for our truck with the performance package, but then Toyota removed the option in the build process, and by the time my truck showed up, none of the content was anywhere to be found. Other packages vanished as well. The dealer went out of their way to locate a similar unit (w/o TRD Perf Pkg) & trucked it in from out of state. I’d bet this is just typical over reach from their attorneys to pull the package because of the unnamed issue (emissions), but not contact, communicate or try to compensate with the consumer. Know several Toyota guys play here on the forum & you can let your product line managers know we really don’t appreciate you leaving your loyal owners & advocates in the blind. Be up front, act like an adult, deal with issues, and let us know what’s going on. Yep, I probably won’t like the answer, but don’t hide the truth as it gets out sooner than later and can sure affect owner loyalty. We expect better.

As you can tell I wasn’t satisfied, so I started collecting the TRD components - badging, decals, placard for owners manual, CAI’s, center and tail exhaust. Finally got all of the TRD Performance Package pieces I needed. Had a really good dealer do the CAI install & flash recently. Very happy with the flash results. It’s crazy how easy and simple it is to install this package’s hardware. The CAI use the mounting isolators off your stock air boxes & might take 15 min per side, the center exhaust takes .5 hour to remove & install, the rear exhaust is a just a bit more time as you really need to raise the body to get the old rear system up & over the diff.

I hope Toyota does the right thing & brings this package back, but if you can source the components on your own & piece together the package, it is a very good & worthwhile upgrade in my opinion. I probably have $2500 in total, including 2.0 hours dealer labor. Both the center exhaust & rear exhaust systems are SS, very good quality, good tone, louder than stock at idle, but zero drone. I went with the dual black tip rear exhaust over the single hex outlet. TRD CAIs are very well made with large conical filters & look like K&N filter media, but better quality in fitment. And the turbo intake tubes are smooth, molded bends, & are a larger consistent size from end to end. It’s really great to know 421hp & 479 lb-ft of torque is available, but the driveability is the magic. This package must be awesome when installed on the hybrid Tundra. I have a 2023 Sequoia I bet this package would be a hoot on.

    My observations:
    - I have 35” Nittos that killed the stock truck’s acceleration. Truck now accelerates back again like it has normal size tires, & it cleaned up the throttle lag & sloppy shift points.
    - Feels even better shifting - much better than the even when stock ECU code was in Sport mode. They’re direct, firm, on time on hard acceleration, & if you come off the throttle a bit it holds the gear you were in, versus jumping down the gears. On normal deceleration it even downshifts as you slow down, and that’s cool when you slow down for a red light, then turns green the truck is already in the right gear.
    - Throttle tip-in is very good. Morning lag/stumble is gone. Throttle response is now how it should have been all along in my opinion. Throttle response is the biggest difference with flash, with exception to the new sounds.
    - WOT is crazy good - much quicker in acceleration, sharp shifts @ 5250rpm, no shift lag, and turbos spool up fast.
    - The dual CAI really let you hear the intake system - you can hear air being pulled in, turbos spool up, boost build, and occasionally the wastgates pop. Normal driving with any throttle change you feel like the truck is actually breathing with all of the air intake noises.
    - One odd thing - I have a Bodenla (Amazon) start/stop bypass that’s been on the truck since new, and it became inconsistent the first 10 or so drive cycles after the install. Couple of weeks later its back to working fine. No idea why.
    - Can’t say enough about the performance overall, or imagine how strong this would feel on stock size tires. I know it’s not a lot of HP or torque change, but change in the overall driveability is remarkable.
    - Nice difference, especially in shifts, when putting truck now into Sport mode.

I understand I was lucky in my searching to find all of the TRD components. Just making the case Toyota needs to bring this package back both as a new Tundra factory option, and also allow dealers to do installs on existing vehicles. Being these are all TRD components, suggest they allow Tundra owners to get a warranty with this package if installed & flashed by a dealer, which would make it worth $3500 to some people. Toyota/TRD knows how to engineer these mods better than anyone. I’ll take this system over aftermarket CAI scene all day long.

For what it's worth, it is back as an option on MY26, along with a lower price on it now than it used to be. I couldn't agree more about making it available as a dealer installed option, shut up and take my money.

Good write up. I have the CAI and flash done on my truck and love it. I am afraid I would not like the sound of an exhaust on a V6 truck, but if the TRD center pipe doesn't give a loud drone, maybe worth checking out.

FWIW - If you do just the TRD rear exhaust pipe it just deletes the resonator. Super mild, idle a bit deeper, little tone on acceleration. No difference in cruise. About $350. PT226-34220-02

TRD center pipe made a bit of sound difference over just the TRD tailpipe alone. If stock is a 1 out of 10, the TRD tailpipe was 2.5, both TRD center & tailpipe a 4. The TIG Welding muffler we tried was a 12. Super cool, deep sound, backfires a bit, and sounded awesome on WOT. Totally made a V6 sound good. But it killed me when we towed. Mine is the newest 3.2 version with extra extended Helmholtz.

The 3.2 TIG will probably be listed in classifieds soon.

How loud would you say this is for every day driving? Just normal in town stuff? And to confirm you ran this with the TRD pro duel tail pipe? Eye balling one for my pro but scared it’s gonna be too loud with the neighbors etc. I had the magnaflow d-section cut and clamp and it was insanely loud.

What year tundra is yours? I have a 23 Pro and my airbox doesn't look like yours. A normal looking air box. Looks way bigger than mine.

    It’s a 2025.

2023 TRD Pro wouldn't have come with the TRD Performance Package, so you have (2) conventional air filter housing's

Perf Pkg uses TRD Cold Air Intakes (CAI) & larger diameter intake tubes - so looks different.

My 18y/o loved it. City driving it is really fun. Guaranteed to put smile on your face.
I actually had ol’ TIG try to help me by modifying it from 3.0 to the 3.2 Helmholtz mod, but it’s still has a bit of drone when towing. Dang shame with his original marketing of these mufflers as having no drone.

In the city if you stay out of the throttle it is no louder than a Raptor. Really great idle and burble. WOT hammer time brings up lots more noise. All of our G3 Tundras have a 10-15 second cold start on the idle circuit when you crank them up, and this was fairly loud during that time. We live on property so it was no issue, but the towing drone was something else. Can you tell I’m a pilot & not a salesman?

Cool thing is I will have the Y-down pipe & Tig muffler together, so whoever wants the Tig can install without cutting their stock muffler system. Tig, Carven, Atlantic, etc. all require you to cut the inlet pipe before the muffler. With this you only have 2 bolts at each cat flange, and 2 bolts at rear of muffler flange - and it will go on. That lets you keep your system whole if you want to changeout (go on a trip, trade truck, etc.).

So, is that exhaust even on the TRD PRO trucks? Now I'm wondering if I even got a deal on this TRD PRO.
Well so much for a Factory TRD PRO.!!

My guy...let me try again to break this down for you...

You have a TRD Pro truck without the Performance Package. The TRD Performance Package is an OPTIONAL package that not every truck has. It consists of the intake, exhaust, and tune. It is a $3,400 upcharge. Some folks have had success early-on sourcing and installing all the components that comprise the package. However, Toyota has become wise to this and now has most of it on lock-down so you can't buy it anymore and install it yourself.

I never bothered to read much on this topic nor cared to see what I had compared to this package and a small package at that. You would think that it would come stock on all TRD. shame on Toyota
