Yeah, but it sounds awesome. Just enough grunt. I didn't buy a 6k lb pickup truck because I wanted performance.

Wildlife photo!!! Saw my first Achemon Sphinx Caterpillar this season. Very large. Turns into a large moth.

It’s in its green color phase right now, as it eats the green grape leaves.

In the fall they turn brown, and then they burrow into the ground. So I have to be careful with pesticides.

    Poorly worded choices.
    Big turbo w/ a V8?
    -OR-
Big V8 w/ a turbo? (with a size of my choosing)
    Big difference.

A truck JUST for doing truck stuff? Boring.
Big honkin' NA V8.....or less honkin' big w/ a S/C. (There, I said it.)

A FUN truck that hauls ass and a few things on occasion? (I'm going REAL specific on this one:)
2nd gen. RCSB 2WD, 5.7L built to support two, yes two, PROPERLY sized turbos and a 6 speed manual transmission. Lag can be kept extremely minimal and still make great top end power.
Does Toyota have any stout manuals? Probably have to swap/adapt a T56 Magnum or a CD009.

At my core, I'm a hot rodder, not a truck guy.

We would get these on tomato plants all the time. Looks like I got this confused with the tomato hornworm.

For the tomato plant afficionados out there, chicken poop makes amazing fertilizer.

That’s the Tomato Hornworm. It’s a little different. This one shows up only on grape leaves, I believe.

The hornworm is a hotter caterpillar, IMO.

Look at all the fake eyeballs that also happen to look like a mouth with teeth.
If I was a caterpillar predator I'd be scared shitless of that thing.

You are right. Give me a minute and I'll come up with a poll with multiple sub-polls also with multiple sub sections so we can get a more detailed definition of the best engine for a truck. Now that I think of it, I should probably also separate all those polls and sub-polls further with more options breaking trucks down to size, intended use, construction (frame or unibody), etc.

I really liked the 2.3 liter inline 4 that I had in my little Isuzu pickup. It was fun to drive. Cable clutch, 5 speed manual. I loved the shifting in that truck.

My wife hates those. As far as she is concerned, they all need to be killed with fire. However, she hates them so much, she makes me do it.

It would be cool to have a new micro truck option.

I guess there are import options from Japan of all kinds of stuff like that. The JDM websites, I looked at one of those sites a while back, kind of fun.

I liked my supercharged 3.4l v-6 in my ‘91 4Runner, we swapped it out of an ‘02 Tacoma. It was a sleeper for sure, miss that thing!

It may sound sad but in my life I have personally owned 3 vehicles, not including my wife's vehicles. A 93 dodge caravan from 03 - 08, an 07 tundra from 08 - 22, and now the 2018 i have now. I start with soft reversible mods and if I'm happy with the vehicle I start digging into more extreme mods and make it my own and plan to keep it until the inevitable happens and if I do end up getting rid of it I have no expectation of getting more than I paid for for the vehicle nor what I paid for it. I do expect a reasonable return but not what I paid for it and invested into it. If I'm looking for more than what I paid for for something it will be a collectable of some sort, sports cards, comics and stuff like that. If I want to make something mine by customizing itand sell it that's my loss not the buyers punishment if that makes sense.

On the Slate website, they show their truck overlayed in comparison to an ‘85 Toyota Pickup. The Toyota is the white outline.
