Finally got my design worked out on the top tray insert I've been working on and want to share it with members here. I've made my own thread in marketplace and have an order form and all. Just let me know what you think! After lots of testing it turned out great. I've got more designs I want to release soon too just need to find the time to polish them and post them.

Here is my thread in our 3rd gen marketplace.

My strat is catching the oil in a 5 gallon bucket and get it as close to the plug before pulling it. One hand holds up the bucket and the other pulls the plug. That 0w-20 flows like crazy, especially when it’s hand-burny temp.

I have no experience with their suspension stuff, but I feel like a lot of the hate comes from that. I used to be in the camp of “nah I’ll spend the money for the big brand stuff,” but I’m really liking the look (and price, mostly price) of their front bumper…

i was considering this. i probably should just get one anyways.

it shouldn't be an issue now since i have the fumoto in there and i can just hook the tubing up to drain. but i suppose for the wifes car why not its not like they are expensive.

Just remember, you ALWAYS get what you pay for. Their stuff looks ok from a distance, but the steel is thin and the welds are bubblegum.

I agree with you on most RC stuff. I don't trust their suspension stuff from experience. Broke many components in Moab which caused a trail weld party. My theory, is I have to be able to get back to pavement.

But on my last tundra (2016) I had a weld yourself bumper from RC and that thing was great! I had a local fab shop weld it for me and I would get that bumper again in a heartbeat. But for this 3 gen truck I have now I don't like the RC bumper as much. Spend the money on quailty stuff or save until you can. Dont cheap out on RC crap.

Suspension is definitely something that I’d rather pay more for, which is why I went with an accutune setup and camburg control arms. I’d hate to use one of the d-rings on the RC bumper for a recovery and it snaps off lol. The diy weld-yourself bumpers look really cool - wish there was one for the 3rd gens. If I get some time to 3D scan the front end, I may try to design my own DIY bumper and use send-cut-send to get laser cut parts.

    What’s wrong with stock?
It’s the trucks third birthday in a few weeks so I got her some bling.

What did I do to my Tundra today? I started my truck after getting in it, because apparently I can’t even use the key fob to remote start it anymore now that my trial ended a few weeks ago.

    RC stuff so far:
Bed mat: good fit, thick, heavy, holding up to abuse well. Big, in your face branding. :p
Plastic rear wheel well liners / gap fillers: Should have been there as stock. Good fit.
Cat security shield / skid plate: Thick steel, decent powdercoating, good stainless hardware. :thumbsup:I'll echo the incredible customer service comment. Was short one security screw for the cat shield and they sent me the entire stainless hardware pack.

All in all, very good value/ bang for the buck items. I would still stay away from their suspension and fabricated/welded items like bumpers though.

You can still start your truck remotely, even though your trial has ended. Just press the unlock button three times, then hold it. Do it quickly—but not too fast. The timing has to be just right.

Nope, you need at least one remote service active for the fob to work. But I think service connect is a 10 year trial?

Removed the bedside decals(not easy btw) and added the oem heritage grill overlay. I like the cleaner look with the red accents.

Posted this picture on Reddit and people were commenting saying I need bigger wheels like 19s or 20s, why? The ride is so much better ever since I switched over to 17s and cornering improved too with less weight than the stock wheels and tires.

A lot of people had good things to say but some were just hating with no real reason. For what it’s worth I like the setup, it’s comfortable and fuel economy is staying around 24 mpgs.

Reddit is so interesting some younger kids were dming me over how terrible the 3rd gen is and how I should just burn it and then there were normal people saying good things and sharing their setups.

I wish that were the case. I used to use the key fob probably as much as the app, and had the timing down, but it is completely dead now and doesn't work at all after 50+ attempts over the past few weeks.

Can you let me know if they fix it? My bumper is doing the same 2024 10k miles on it.

It's a pain. I've been successful maybe 30% of the time. The mobile app is better, but I'm not pay for it once it ends.

OEM fob is horrendous...range and sequence. Get a kit from www.accessorides.com and forget about the oem clunkyness

Not to bad. Im wanting to switch fender flares. TRD don't have the big tired flare. Wish there was more options.!!!!
