Ok since you ask . . . Here goes! Neither, both are way too big to be driving around with in my opinion and one or both with go missing one day. Keep the shackles in a recover bag with a good tow rope for when you need them.

Just my two cents . . . and you did ask. :D

Besides it's a Platinum and they look great standing still and don't need their shackles showing!

I am considering that option as well (keeping them stored). Nothing at all really looks like something is flat out missing or fell off. I do appreciate the feedback. I would not have asked if I couldnt handle the feedback. Thanks !!!

Powdercoat the eyeloop mount to color match with a TRD Pro UCA would be ideal set up, no tassels. Someday.

When you made the cut shown above, did you just eyeball it from the graphic in fig 2-3 ? (since no one has the templates referred to).
Also, what tool did you use?
Starting my install today or tomorrow
    Thanks.

No need to cut anything, just slap it all together and everything clears just fine

I did NOT have to cut anything. Do a test fit first to see, but on my 2023 Limited there was no cutting needed.

If you deploy the dam it is so much easier for the install.,there's zero need to slice and dice it.

I ordered these. Looking forward to having my teenage boys install them for me.

(These are less expensive than the Slee units. Not sure what else is available.)

it’s for 2019-20s, not 3Gs. Lawyers arguing that the transmission heat exchanger isn’t a transmission cooler…

It isn't. It's 100% to get the transmission fluid to a igher temp faster in order to improve "fuel economy". It was also a decision made by the accounting department in order to milk the every last bit of revenue out of the model.

No, it was made because they had to switch the 134a refrigerant for the AC condenser, which previously housed an external cooler, to less efficient 1234yf refrigerant. The less efficient refrigerant necessitated a bigger condenser, which they swapped in for the combined condenser/cooler, leaving the external “puck” heat exchanger to handle trans temperature regulation.

While the puck does indeed help get the trans fluid up to operating temp using the engine coolant loop, because the transmission’s high-temp threshold is 300F and the coolant threshold is closer to 250F, there is a point when the trans fluid is warmer than the engine coolant, so the engine coolant is cooling the trans fluid instead of warming it. The puck can’t cool the trans to below the engine temp like the prior liquid/air coolers, but it does help keep the trans temp lower than it would be without it.

While Toyota will say that, it's not the real behind the scenes reason.

If we accept your theory that they were just pinching pennies, then Toyota wouldn’t have spent money to spec a larger AC condenser than they absolutely had to. And since they did, in fact, switch to a larger unit, it suggests that there was a technical reason behind it, rather than a financial one.

You're talking about two different things. The switch for the A/C refrigerant did, in fact, require a large condenser.
Switching to a larger condenser does not negate the fact that a transmission cooler could've been included, but was not.
