Off the line & mid accelerator it's great. It's better in S6. But it's boggy when trying to accelerate at freeway speed.

It was 118 & I had driven 40 or so miles at the point I was coming home & wanted to get away from passing lane furnishers.

I will get a log tomorrow and try to recreate it.

My transmission had some buggy behavior immediately after flashing. It worked itself out with a few drive cycles.

I’ve been following slow people all week - one guy puttering at 50 in the passing lane (one of two passing lanes in 40 miles) and then down to 27 mph in a 55 zone cuz there was a sweeping corner… Then of course as soon as I bust pass them they ride my tail at 80. :frusty:

It's infuriating, my favorite is when you pass them & they are mad at you. It is illegal, I wish I could see one get pulled over ONCE.

No joke. Coming home late late one night from out of state on a two lane highway - I caught up to a car that couldn’t keep it between the lines, varied speeds between 45 and 75 mph, and looked generally unsafe to operate on public roads. I followed for a few miles through some hills and could see through the back window to the driver while he was busy eating something, chugging down a drink, shifting gears, and holding a phone to his ear. When he flicked his cigarette butt out the window that sparked across my hood, I wondered what appendage he was using to actually drive the vehicle considering everything else he had going on, and I put my foot down to pass him. As I got up along side him, the dufus downshifted and revved his little motor to the moon, so I just let the truck eat. He somehow managed to flip me off through his partially open window while yelling at me as my exhaust screamed past him at 110 mph; he managed to make it to 90 but with headlights approaching in the distance, I wasn’t gonna dawdle. I can only guess at what his stupefied face was thinking when he saw my enclosed trailer in tow. I mean, how rude it was of me to try and pass this guy - total jerk move on my behalf, I guess.

Passive aggressive left lane driving is a trademark of the Seattle/Portland corridor. That Tesla/Prius/Crosstrek is totally not going 10 under to bother you. They enter the freeway and immediately go across 4 lanes to take their position as well.

Best part of the (supercharged) Tundra is it’s unsuspecting as a fast vehicle and the race exhaust sound often shocks and awes the urbanite.

What pisses me off even more is when they refuse to get out of the way, despite having nobody in the right lane for miles, and you go to pass them and they floor it trying to not let you pass. Oh now you want to go fast? Skinny pedal down, blow your ear drums out and drive right around ya! BYE!

Imgur links are cold start and dyno runs (hope the links work)

    Alright so here’s everything.

Originally reached back out to National Speed first week of May, had to send 3 ‘contact us’ emails as the first two went unanswered; no big deal to me.

I first went over what parts I wanted to add (final parts list below) and what I was looking to do. I put the supercharger on when I was running 295/70/18 and jumping up to 37 on 17’s I lost some of that get up and go that I wanted back (I have been geared to 5.29’s before supercharger as well). Was not trying to chase any numbers but I was hoping for 500 whp to be honest. A few back and fourths and me adding more parts to the list as a “while we are there we might as we do xxx”. Only real decision I had to make was if I wanted to do headers or keep my spd downpipes, I elected for the headers. It’s their “stage 3” package which they said no one normally does on a tundra.

Deposit paid for full amount of parts – work approved working out of hotel – hotel booked (originally was aiming for end of September mid October but was able to get in first week of August)

    Drove down August 3rd – 9 hours – brutal

Original timeline was 3 days for install and 3 hours for dyno, road test, QA walkaround

A lot of little things bogged it down and pushed the install for 4 full days. As I mentioned, seized/snapped bolt while taking off old trans pan, relocating oil catch can, making heat shields for motor mounts and uca bushings as headers run very close to them (pictures above, nice touch by the technician), and a few other items. Bummer for sure, but understandably and quality work which is why I made the drive.

    List of parts:

    NGK Iridium Spark Plugs (LFR6AIX-11)

    DeatschWerks 650cc Injectors (21TTX-00-0650-8)

OEM Lexus RCF Throttle Body (22030-38050) – snout was ported (picture added)

Prospeed RCF Throttle Body Adapter (PS-RCF-TB)

Prospeed Tundra Cold Air Intake - 4.5 race intake system

Replaced air filter with aFe Magnum FLOW Pro DRY S Air Filter (21-91127)

    2.30" 8 Rib ZPE GripTec® 2pc TRD Tundra L3V Black Pulley & Hub Kit (TR230BV3K8)

Stainless Works Headers 1-7/8in Primaries w/High-Flow Cats (TOYT14HCAT)

Prospeed Tundra 2 Gallon Heat Exchanger Tank (PS-TND-HX) w Windshield Reservoir tank

Koyo Racing Radiator (HH012076) and Cap (SK-C13)

    Solid Offroad’s Engine Mounts

SCOL’s TVS 1900 Supercharger Coupler replacement

    SC Thermal Blanket

Cruisers and Company Extreme Valve Body

    Cruisers and Company Transmission Pan

Cruisers and Company Trans Oil Cooler Kit

*** Review from spd downpipes to headers – normal cruising on the highway and driving there really isn’t any sound difference from my ears. When you get on it and give it the beans, oh my it is LOUD and I love it. Cold starts are a touch louder, but not too noticeable.
-------- I DO have a rougher idle only when I start the truck with the key – bounces between 760 and 890 rpm just sitting in park mode. Remote start not nearly as bad weirdly. Driving is 100% perfectly fine. I saw this issue is due to O2 bungs being too far downstream. Wish I saw that earlier. Drat. Truck in Drive it levels out and doesn’t fluctuate at all – normal as can be. Something I have to keep an eye on. Only negative so far.

*** Review of Valve Body – can’t really tell a difference from what was there, 1 and 2 feel sturdier/jerkier from the butt dyno but I don’t know, 5 days without driving and I don’t remember what it really felt like; but again, peace of mind that it can handle the power better than stock (got to remember to mail back core).

*** MPG update 16 mpg on the way down 14 on the way back (a lot more stop and go on the way home so I’d say not as much of a loss I’d think, but is what it is I don’t care (need to buy my dad’s chevy cruise as he retired and doesn’t need 2 cars anymore – it gets 40+ easily)

I believe that is everything parts wise and now the price:

I bought and brought some of the parts and some they ordered:

Parts: $6,190.41 (not including what I bought I bought: air filter, everything C&C, engine mounts, sc coupler and sc thermal blanket)

Labor: $6,267.50 (a lot of this was headers and engine mounts together)

    Shop Supplies: $200

Indoor Storage: $124.58 (not sure what this was tbh)

    Sales Tax (7%): $827.01

    TOTAL: $13,787.94

(for reference I paid $11,202.78 for just the tvs 1900 installed and tuned in August 2023 in their VA shop before it closed 2 days install 0.5 day dyno)

    Dyno Results:

I do not have the official sheet yet as it hasn’t been updated to my one drive but in the end of the video you can see the whp and tq

Stage “3” is what I am on now:
    93 Octane
    whp: 499.06
    tq: 517.20
Wheels are 22.50 lbs and Tires 87.04 total: 109.54 lbs (blach rhino rapids 17in and 37x12.50 nitto ridge grapplers will be going to 35x11.5 falkens soon which will be 68.5 lbs per tire so 91 lbs per corner -18.54 lbs difference on each corner pretty big difference)

Stage “1” which was just tvs 1900 and tune from August 2023
    91 Octane
    whp: 446.71
    tq: 450.76
Wheels 31.50 lbs and Tires 73 lbs total 104.5 lbs (black rhino caprock 18in and 295/70 micky thompson baja boss)

Tune: ran on 93 octane but I did advise them that some towns and gas stations in the north east where I snowboard don’t always have 93, so they did tailor it back to be safe to run with 91 and have no issues. Which is peace of mind for me.

That is everything I believe! I love the truck and I am really happy (wallet is not) with National Speed and everyone there I have worked with. I will now just be enjoying the truck (header O2 bung issue/idle aside). If I forgot anything I’ll edit the post but pretty sure it’s everything everyone wants to see and know. A lot more pictures in the one drive but just pulled out some I figured people would want to see. They document everything – and I mean everything. Really cool to see.

Enjoy your weekends! I am going down to Sea Isle City, NJ today to take the boat out --- Sleeping in my bed last night was amazing!! dropped to 63ish degrees here in NJ. Windows open and a breeze.

SPD catback to LT headers is great. Noting here you remove the downpipes for the headers and headers bolt to the cat back.

Nice writeup, I have lots of those parts (TB, SPD downpipes, motormounts)

I don't remember any change when I did the SPDs I have the Dirty Deeds catback & stock headers.

    Enjoy!!!!

sold my boat and am apart of freedom boat club! Basically yearly membership for access to a boat. A lot easier when my friends have kids. Walk on, boat, walk off no cleaning :)

if I still had to tow I would not do headers haha my ears would be ringing constantly

Got a log this morning, the bogging is gone, truck feels great. It's having some odd slow upshifts, hopefully it'll learn them away.

AC is not as cold as it should be and sitting gets warmer, dropped it to have it checked, on the way a rice rocket came up to the light between traffic behine me, I shocked him off the line, it was all 20,000 rpms he had to "get away" from me as I was slowing to turn left mid block.

It's so much fun shocking the crap out of boi racers, also it was the first time I was near redline & it's amazing!

I had this today..2006 Rav, towed in no acceleration..
This is the ETCS fuse, electronic throttle control..
It measures good with voltage and an ohm meter..
I replaced the fuse and the throttle came back to life. This fuse is 2 days old.
I suspect it needs a throttle body, excessive amp thru the throttle motor. Or just a bad fuse...
