It’s MA, they are banned (along with pretty much every else) regardless of stamp

I may be ignorant to this, but I thought in MA you just need an FID and an LTC for an SBR... in addition to the federal paperwork :notsure:

Honestly, after the new laws passed in Oct of 24, no one knows what we can own anymore.

Obviously, not a deep look into the issue on my part into the actual 'language', but it does appear that as long as you are granted the FID and LTC, you should be good to go...

Seems like the FID is a basic license to own/carry (not necessarily concealed weapons) probably involving a paper background, safety course, etc...
this appears to cover rifles and such but doesn't include high cap mags...

The LTC appears to be a bit more in-depth requiring the 'ranking LE officer of your jurisdiction, reference checks, and even letters of recommendation at times for approval...

Sometimes, if you're unsure about it, contacting an attorney that is familiar w/drawing FA trusts (even if you're not looking to go that route) you may find someone who is well-versed in the current laws and will help you navigate the process...

As stated earlier though, it may be worth looking into since you're not dealing w/tax stamp fees and spend the money getting competent guidance/legal advice on how to ease the difficulties you are facing...

So, I'm generally not a scotch drinker, but recently acquired a couple of 'mid-grade' options so I'm doing a quick comparison this morning before bed.

Chivas Regal 18 year and Macallen 12 Double Cask. Sampling is currently in the works...

    Any feedback from this group??

I'm not a huge scotch drinker either but my palette prefers the sherry cask finish over the dbl oaked for the Mcallan 12. Never had the chivas 18, so not much input on it. Interested to hear your take though.

When it comes to scotch I prefer highlands as they don't show as much peat, Dalmore being my favorite. If you find a Dalmore 18, I highly recommend. Their 12 is one I keep in the cabinet.
