I keep coming back and listening to that clip. Years ago I had a Flowmaster on a first gen Taco 2.7 and it made that truck sound sooo much better. How is it cruising on the freeway?

I’m gonna run a Flowmaster super 50 here soon and dump this straight through magnaflow. Should be quieter than the Flow FX, but has a deeper tone.

Nice, I have had 50's on all Tacoma's and Tundra's I have had over the years. They are just getting a little expensive now days and figured for $60 I would give the FlowFX a try and if I didnt like it then I would throw it on the Tacoma.
I really like it on the freeway almost completely silent, when the engine gets a load going up a hill you get a little throaty Flowmaster hum but other then that with cruise set at 70-75 she is quiet.

Where did you pick it up? Summit has them online for $70. As I've gotten older I've come to appreciate an exhaust that I can keep quiet when coming home at night, applies even more to my motorcycles.

I got it on Amazon, and I agree the days of flowmaster 40’s and 5” MBRP straight pipes are over.

Flowmaster 40 without the resonator is the right solution.

How do I upload a video clip of my Super 40? It keeps telling me that it doesn’t have an extension. I’m using my iPhone

Upload the video, and tell it to keep audio.

When it takes you to the upload page, copy the URL to that page once the upload is done and you change the title, and post that URL here. The forum will auto-link the video.

This is better for folks who may want to remain more anonymous, and not have everyone poring over their YouTube.

Man, that would really piss my wife, kids and all of my neighbors within a 5-10 block radius. I could never.

Dirt Deeds injectors, Addco rear sway, AEM dry flow air filter, last ever set of Stan's Try-Y headers, Borla full custom exhaust, front level, wheel spacers, and lots of electronics.
Yup, roll down the back window in a tunnel or tree lined road and your kids will think it's a race truck.

There's a heavily tree lined road on the way home from my kid's old elementary school. I would drive down it in third gear and romp the throttle every now and then. They got a big kick out of it. Barely doing 40 but the noise was enough for them.

I had to swap my dirty deeds duals from a post-axle dump to a pre-axle dump this weekend, to make room for the rear shocks. It's even more obnoxious now than before and it's already grown on me.
