    Hello fellas.

    I've got a 2012 Toyota tundra, all original factory wiring, I thought my speakers were blown and recently purchased new speakers for front right dash and front right door.. upon replacing the speakers using an aftermarket wiring harness supplied with the speakers, there is still no sound at all, no pops or static nothing..

    I have checked the plug into the back of the head unit itself and everything is secure and intact, I thought it might be the channel on the built in amplifier on a non JBL system, so I purchased an aftermarket dasaita g13 unit after doing some research.. still have no sound going to those 2 speakers..

    No center dash speaker in my truck, but all 4 of the other speakers work great no issues.. I went ahead and swapped the front left dash speaker and front door speaker out to make sure the new units didn't have defects as well by chance. All work great with the new aftermarket wiring harnesses..

    I understand that the front right dash speaker or wiring has to be the culprit because that unit feeds power to the front right door speaker but aside from that I'm at a loss on what it could be.

    YouTube expert here so BY NO MEANS am I a pro at any of this but I'm definitely capable, I just don't understand what else it could be at this point.

    I am looking for some suggestions on troubleshooting this issue without heading to an audio shop for financial reasons. Currently all in with the new speakers and head unit I'm right around $450 out the door tax and everything and would like to save as much as possible.

    Please feel free to respond with ideas

    Appreciate this forum and site and all the info I've gathered and learned from y'all.

    Have a great Saturday everybody.

    @Jd19

    Did you ever find a resolution for this? Exact same problem happened in my 2021. Front right dash and front right door only went out at the same time. I had music playing and heard them go out. Definitely a wiring issue, an amp issue, or headhunt issue. No way the 2 speakers fail at the same time.

    No pop or anything - they just went silent.

    @2WD nah no sir unfortunately still haven't gotten around to taking it to a shop or finding a fix for it.. you don't think just those 2 speakers would be on a separate fuse? That's the only thing I can think of honestly.

    Speakers aren’t on a separate fuse. Have you tried swapping speakers (terminals) to see if it still exists? If not, stick speakers are garbage and may be a great excuse to upgrade

    @T-Rex266 yeah I swapped the front dash speakers, and the one I know works still didn't work unfortunately. Most likely has to be a wiring issue in dash so I will take it to an audio shop. Fuses were last option so I appreciate you letting me know they aren't on separate fuses.. I replaced the head unit so I know channel works. Will have to take to audio shop because I'm not too comfortable removing dash haha. Appreciate the answer.

    Has to be a break in wiring somewhere, only way to diagnose would be testing for continuity of the wires going to that location.

    Wire is probably broken at the door pass through the cabin. Turn on your radio and open the door, slightly closing it until it catches

    I know it seems scary, but its not as crazy as you think. I had to do this when I added new speakers in, and then a remote start...and I am by no means an electrician lol.

    @Jd19 don't take it to a shop, you can do this.
    There are plenty of people here who will help you.

    It could be as simple as a bad connection.
    The problem is probably between the HU and the dash speaker.
    The signal goes from the radio to the side dash and then to the door.
    If the side dash speaker isn't getting a signal or is disconnected, the door speaker will not work.

    On the back of radio you should have connector K1 (A) unless you have navigation, then it is K30.
    Let's say you don't have navigation, correct me if I'm wrong.
    Although both connectors look the same and use the same pin numbers and wire colors.

    On the K1 connector on the radio;
    Pin 1 lime green wire is the front right +
    Pin 5 blue wire is the front right -

    That goes to K11, the right dash speaker
    Input pins 3 + and 4 - from the HU
    K11 output to the door is pin 1 green + and pin 2 red -

    Make sure K11 is plugged in properly and the connector and pins are in good shape.

    Good luck.
