I appreciate all the likes, I've been wanting to get a pic like this up for a while now since almost all my Tundra use is the same thing, different day "we pulled the X trailer, mowed X yards." LOL This time we only did one yard because it's rained so much and we don't mow in the rain.......some yards have become all-day affairs. The next day it was the same: one yard took some four hours and we used all three mowers on that trailer (small zero turn, riding mower, self-propelled). We are nearly caught up now though. I hope to get in some tree limb removal soon and get pics for you guys of the Tundra pulling that.

I love seeing trucks doing truck stuff. Seems like South Florida has too many trucks doing glamour stuff

I’ve been running this beeeatch for like an hour and change and there’s still bubbles coming out. Heater on and revving it from time to time. Even squeezing hoses and rocking the truck and there’s still air in there. Pretty sure every time I turned off the truck all the air would climb into the heater loop and then work its way back into the block causing my problems. Should have bled it properly to begin with. To be clear, I want to do this until ZERO bubbles come out, correct?

Maybe just drain and refill at this point would be faster? Was the orientation of the tstat jiggle valve confirmed (and that the tstat isn't installed backwards or something - if that's even possible)? Have also put them in a pan of water on stove to verify function (should open reliably at temp). And don't recall if the integrity of the fan clutch has been tested?

Im always grateful when a company makes stuff for our trucks. Those switches are so meh. Crudely 3D printed blanks with cheap-o rocker switches in them. Good news is they are charging el cheap-o prices for them. $12-15.

Ya, I'm not thrilled about the axle either, mostly because it's a pain to find a time to drop it off. Oh well.
The shackles are OEM. I replaced the bushings (with OEM) a while ago and I'm wondering if that could be causing some issue. At the time the press I was using was weak and wasn't seating the bushings fully. It's very possible the metal sleeve could be making contact with the front hanger or in the back. Or dirt getting in the grease I applied to the bushings. I've bee using some Triflo spray lube and that helps for a little while.

A bubble every few seconds and if I rock the truck a bunch. Even after almost two hours. Something fucky. I think @ToyotaDude is right, if I still have problems after this test drive, I’m going to drain it, check the thermostat and try again.

I think you’re right. The thermostat is brand new and Toyota so I’d be surprised if that was the issue and the cooling system was pressure tested when the TB was done.

If you’re still getting bubbles after that long hopefully it’s not combustion gases. May want to just check with a quick combustion leak check if you haven’t already.

Negative and the oil looks good too. Just drove it and was worse than before so I called the dude that did the TB and he’s going to come take a look at it.

Yeah I appreciate all the knowledge from everyone. This is the first neglected vehicle I’ve had in a really long time and I’m working on stuff I’ve never dealt with before.

    14wa upgrade completed today.
Got help from an old friend from my TW days. Dude has a single cab horizon blue metallic first gen taco, like my first taco.
He does mobile auto repair out of it. Gave me a hand with his pressure bleeder for a 12pk of Modelo Especial. Took almost 2 quarts of dot 3. Old fluid was disgusting. Not telling when it was done last.

@Sirfive you want the old brake parts?
The pads were still in great shape.

@wtrbrdm I tried to use those braided break lines, but I'm going to have to replace the upper and lower metal lines first. They were trying to strip, so I left the lines as they were, for now.
