I prefer goat cheese…

 

Texture matters and is purely subjective.

Based on texture; I don't like:
Avocado
Mango
Canned Peaches

However, I love guacamole, mango flavor, and fresh peaches.



Deviled eggs are amazing, but not if they have relish/pickles in them.

You are assuming, incorrectly, that it's a habit and that any cheese will do. This is not the case.

There are definitely quality cheeses that are better on burgers, some that are only used for specific burgers, and there are also cheeses that should never be on burgers.




Cheddar is a solid go to for good burgers and bacon burgers. Decent on a "western" burger or any that have BBQ sauce or any other sweet condiment being used.

Swiss is only for burgers with mushrooms. Melted is the only way Swiss is edible anyway.

Pepper Jack is perfect for adding a kick. Obvious and only correct choice for any jalapeno burgers, though Colby jack would be better than a jalapeno burger with no cheese at all.

Provolone or Havarti are great for a smoked burger.

American is okay for low end burgers/fast food. It's the wannabe cheddar option and used in the same instances. It's still better than a plain burger.

Finally, if you have the burger without a bun, cottage cheese is the perfect side and should be eaten with each burger bite.



Blue cheese, feta, and ricotta are all a no go for burgers.

 

I completely agree on most of your cheese choices - when homemade. Cheddar jack, please.

my contention is fast food or even sit down burgers....the cheese is nasty-ass gummy paste industrial waste.

yet, folks order it without hesitation.

 

As I've stated before when y'all get lathered up over which fast food burger is best.

It's best to not eat that junk. Cheese at that point is moot. Because your bun and burger sucks as much as the cheese.

Bad cheese is still better than no cheese on most burgers. Partially because of what @OldGuy03 said about the burger itself being low quality and how you're not saving yourself.

Definitely the crows/ravens/magpies. I like their sounds, and I have slept through them before.

Well, here I go again!!!! I'm going to offer some sound advice here that will be ignored... again

If you sleep during the day, you'll already be up when the crows, dogs, roosters, (black bears in our case), other birds, etc.. all decide to either wake up or become active. The beauty of sleeping during the day, is that there's so much 'alive' in the peacefulness of the night, and then once creatures start to wake up in the early am hours you're able to enjoy their song and presence rather than being annoyed by them for waking you!!!

Plus, you can still enjoy a sunet and a sunrise... they just have different meanings

 

Computer has restarted twice this morning at work. Gunna be one of those days. Maybe I should turn around and go home.
