You know how it feels to have stock TRD on skinny 265s, chrome mustache and matching ass-chaps? Worse yet, I work remotely. Bought the truck and left less than a week later back at work for a 3 week hitch. But, I will be busy when I get back home once all the crap I ordered shows up.

Diode Dynamics LED Fog lights, DV8 Centric winch bumper w/12K ComeUp winch & DV8 fairlead and hook, OEM TRD Skid plate, Yota Expedition center console, shift/radio knob, 4WD shift button accent, TRD vinyl overlay for grille, LED DRL accent lights (below headlight) with sequential turn signals, mustache in shop now getting color matched, custom rear bumper w/swing out tire carrier (still designing), 285/75R18 Falken Wildpeak A/T4W on 18x8.5 Rhino Voll 25mm offset, and few other items I’m forgetting. In two weeks I’m gonna be busy though- pics coming as I progress the OEM+ build.

With added weight, you going to get new coilover spings/rear spings ?

That has definitely crossed my mind. Coming from the HD segment 3/4 & 1-ton diesel trucks with King Pintop 2.5s and full leaf Deaver spring packs, I’m pretty much used to being able to carry, hauls, drag, and tow with ease. As with any build I’ve done, I start slow, see how things work and most importantly make subtle changes to fit my lifestyle. I plan on adding the canopy/wedge tent, CBI full rear bumper and maybe skip the DV8 Concentric modular front winch bumper and go full width up front too. Tundras are like giant legos- all that cheesy plastic hanging out there ready to be destroyed. While I value the safety aspect, just prefer something that can take a hit without totaling it out.

As of now, I’m leaning towards
Dobinsons 2” rear constant rate 220-440 lb coils or 3.5” version depending on how the weight is distributed. Definitely want it leveled front to rear when loaded. Airbags… been down that road, but don’t feel like I will need them. Timbrens on the other hand may be a good fit. Winches, bumpers, accessories and add ons. OEM++ was my goal, but I’m already beyond that phase. Weight kills performance so I really need to dial in my set up being cognizant of such. The best part- I feel like Bob Ross with a blank white canvas. So many little mods, but that will change once the canopy is ordered.
Thanks for probing my brain- now you’re gonna get my wife mad at me…

My advice is do those mods slowly, otherwise like me they are all done, and you go "hmmmmm what else can I spend money on?" Lol
