It's amazingly well packed is the positive. No way without cutting/ moving the washer fluid reservoir will this monster fit.

I wonder if @snivilous can scan something up and one could print a "form-fitting" tank/reservoir around the new tank? That thing is YUGE!

Now that's a big brain idea I can get behind, Tundra specific oversized coolant tanks. That would be pretty sick! And I did just get a 5x10 sheet of aluminum and steel in today :D

Where exactly are you guys putting bigger tanks? Looking in the engine bay there's no decent room. My three initial ideas are a tank that forms around the ECU area behind the intake box, or in front of the intake box but then you need to still access the steering reservoir and dip stick (plus usually where the catch can goes), and third is a dual tank setup where it fits where the windshield washer reservoir is and then relocate that as a custom tank behind the airbox.

Granted the stock intercooler reservoir is tiny so wouldn't need much to get a lot more fluid, but I was hoping there was an "easy" way to have like a gallon or more in just the reservoir.

You could get an SDHQ washer reservoir like I have below, if the 4Gal would fits where the stock washer res is, that's a big box. Or work on the Lexus washer res like @Mdl is doing.

    upload_2025-8-4_14-44-18.jpg

Would it fit on the driver's side on a dual-compressor mount that sits above the fuse/relay box? Or is it too tall?

You could always mount it elsewhere and keep the Maggy res as the fill port.

The 1.5 gallon I got from Viktor shoehorned between the airbox & firewall.

It's cap isn't vented (and broke) and I was getting a vacuum after filling the hole Viktor drilled because it was dribbling coolant.

Two options for folks not everyone wants a large tank some do. I’d say the multi tank unit is a solid option. We used to this for the cobras. Then then those that want a larger unit can do the large box maybe with a battery relocation or where army has his

Using the LC washer fluid reservoir, as a washer fluid reservoir, is a great idea. Especially if it keeps factory sensor/computers happy. That would open up the entire front area for a ram air type of setup and then make space for whatever else on top of the inner fender. Just a thought. I know a lot of you are already opening up the inner fender to get to the air, but doing a more open Stillen front intake type of deal, directly into a box could be a space saver and add a bit of air flow, too. Selfishly, I'm hoping someone says it's not a horrible idea.

The LC fits in driver side fender. Just gotta fab it up. I'll try and mock it up again and hog out the filler neck in fender. A prospeed style 2.5 gallon tank fits where the washer bottle is could be a little bigger. Has the steering pump attachment. I've even seen a few 3gal fuel cells that are about the same size for $82.

    Sooooooo

sniv looked at my log, I have 0 volts at the MAF wheeeee.

I have a sub 20 mile OEM MAF, a sub 2k mile OEM MAF, a sub 1k mile TK MAF & an old from my '10 Tundra JET POS that was in the truck for 20 seconds on a Bully Dog tune. Only the JET gets any voltage sporadically & that's low.

The connector came back from the 1st motor minus its "fastner pin" and has been on & off more MAFs then I can remember I pushed all the pins down without change, I ordered a new connector with early am delivery so will solder it in in teh morning.

I suspect this is a first motor swap installer issue? Isn't that when they were chasing electrical issues? If the harness doesn't work, testing wires to the ECU?

Yes, they fucked up the connector at the ECU & eventually fixed it.

I don't think Stillen works with any of the blowers without custom parts/Macguyvering something.

I'm pretty sure @M3Tundra-JK tried to make the Stillen work on his Tundra without success.

Outside I have a new connector that locks, no change. Shop A will say shop B broke it, shop B will say it worked when you got it back.

Also, our downstairs AC died last night, waiting for the bad news there.

Check continuity between the plug and ECU and isolate which wire is messed up and then start from there. I don't think there's any quick fix to your issues sadly.

Yes, even the previous log a week ago the MAF was reading correctly. But the fact the engine isn't running perfectly straight out of the swap and everything weird seems electrical related (MAF, O2 sensors) would indicate a problem with the harness or ECU.

So i'm tentatively thinking i'll install the Whipple early September. I went ahead and pulled my DAP tune and went back to stock (it needs its first SMOG check this month) and an oil change. I also removed the aFe intake tube kit.

I've read through the install manual and made a few notes of stuff that i either need to buy or have on hand. I believe i've got all the mainstream tools already

    Here's my shopping list:
Denso IKH22 Plugs - are fakes a thing with these? Figured it would be best to get them from a reputable location and not Amazon/ebay? Looks like UDR has them for $8/ea https://urdusa.com/denso-ikh22-power-iridium-spark-plugs/
1gal Toyota coolant (and a gal of distilled water) i'll see how much it is at the dealership if not its $45 at amazon for non diluted (or should i go 2 jugs of 50/50?)
    Lisle 24680 https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00A6AS6LY/?coliid=I288J33BB1U5RQ&colid=8H7K3AY4Y6A0&th=1
Red Line WatterWetter (recommended by Whipple)
    Hose block-off pliers
    Evil Energy Catch Can
    Spare exhaust gasket
    - i'm not sure if i'll get the bung welded onto the exhaust before i do the install, but i'll have them on hand.
Blue loctite 242 - might as well get a fresh bottle

Anything else that you guys can think of that would be good to have on hand? Any other gaskets that get wrecked during removal?
