UPDATE: Ended up finding an SR5 access cab door at a junkyard, same color. Even if it's a bit faded and not perfect, it's still better than what I got. Haha

Bought my truck for cheap since the door is messed up, am looking to replace it.

Are access cab and standard cab doors interchangeable?

Shape is the same. But here's the "aha!" --- I don't think any Regular cabs came with door moulding. A quick glance at Google Images, I can't seem to find a single RC truck that has door mouldings like the AC. And that door moulding, sadly, required square holes to be punched in the doors, those holes are used for aligning the door mouldings.

So my inclinaton is to say, "Naw dawg, it'll fit, but it won't fit".

Technically used a 2006 truck on this lookup, but I ran a 2006 RC truck's VIN thru the EPC and pulled the front door. Toyota sells just the outer skin, and the shell and skin assembled. Foor 2006, the RC and AC skin part numbers re different, both start with the same first 5 digits (67111- for passenger, and 67112 for driver), but the last 2 digits of the part n but the RC ends with 0c020 and the AC ends with 0c010. It's typical for Toyota to change the last 1-2 digits for different stylings.

If I look at the 2006 complete shell+skin, same story. Prefix is the same (67001- for passenger and 67002- for driver), but the suffix is different with RC ending 0C080 and the AC ending 0C030.

I guess the advice I'd give you is this: Look at the door trim. If it doesn't have it, you either need to punch holes in the door to add it, or modify your existing trim to remove the bumpouts and freeball where it should get stuck on.

Got it, I appreciate the fast and in depth response. I'll look for only access cab doors for the time being, and if that proves to be fruitless I might try a standard cab just to see.

I believe the regular cab, V8 models (most were SR5 I think?) came with door moulding. However those are really rare so you would have even more trouble finding one in a junk yard. Good luck on your search!
