For those that are changing your own oil filters, what is the OEM part number you are using? The parts search shows 90915-YZZN3 which is what I ordered from an online Toyota dealer. However, I received 90915-YZZN1 instead. are these parts interchanegable? I assume the N1 was superceded with N3 but I received N1 instead. I also have a case of WIX filter, 57145, which seems longer than YZZN1. Let me know what you are using?

They are different filters. The N1 would probably work just fine to be honest, but it is NOT the correct filter

It looks like the N1 is a bit short. With the way the motors are having issues, I do not want to give Toyota reasons to deny me if anything to happen.

The 90915-YZZN1 fits almost every Toyota including the Tacomo but does not fit the Tundra. Since Toyota parts says it does not fit, I'd take a hard pass on that filter. I bought several filters from my dealer, 90915-10010, and apparently they are made in Japan

AI results; take with a grain of salt:

Toyota oil filters: 90915-YZZN1 vs. 90915-YZZN3
These two filters are different, primarily regarding their thread size and the engines they are designed for.
    Toyota 90915-YZZN1
    • Thread Size: 3/4 inch-16 UNF.
    • Outside Diameter: 3 inches.
    • Item Dimensions (L x W x H): 3 x 3 x 3.5 inches.
    • Item Weight: 6.4 ounces.
    • Designed for: Toyota and Lexus engines.
    • Note: Also known to be a replacement for the factory filter (90915-10009) in 2025 Tacomas.
    Toyota 90915-YZZN3
    • Thread Size: M16 x 1.5.
    • Outside Diameter: 3 Inches.
    • Item Dimensions (L x W x H): 3.25 x 2.6 x 3.24 inches.
    • Item Weight: 7 Ounces.
    • Designed for: Toyota engines, specifically for V35A engines like the Tundra (2022-2024) and Sequoia (2023-2024).
    Key differences summarised
    • Thread size: The 90915-YZZN1 uses a 3/4"-16 UNF thread, while the 90915-YZZN3 employs an M16 x 1.5 metric thread.
    • Engine Application: The 90915-YZZN3 is particularly designed for the V35A engine, found in models like the Tundra and Sequoia. The 90915-YZZN1 is compatible with a broader range of Toyota and Lexus engines.

Thanks everyone. I returned the N1 filters for the correct N3.
