    Hi,

I have a 2013 Tundra 4.6L and I need to remove the intake manifold to get to the PCV valve on this engine.

I searched and have not found a video or other information about how to remove the intake manifold.

Can anyone point me to something? If there is nothing for the intake manifold, maybe there is a video of another repair that requires removing the intake and that video would show it?

I also have not found a place to buy a factory shop manual and I would like to, or find something online.

    Thanks!

I have replaced the PVC on 2 5.7s, neither needed anything off except the hose that connects to the PCV.

Sorry, I assumed seeing as the 4.7 & 5.7 were moslty the same the PVC was also. I sit corrected.

Yes, because I wanted the title to say intake manifold to attract people who know how to do that. Because they may not click into the PCV thread.

I did see that video before, and I tried getting to it that way, but couldn't get past the metal thing on the right that was blocking my socket from going into the PCV valve.

But in watching that video again, the guy starts with a 19mm and then says he switched to a 23mm. The PCV is actually 22mm.

So maybe his 23mm socket on a 22mm PCV is what made it possible for him to angle the socket past that metal part on the right that was blocking me.

Anyway, I ordered a bunch of 22mm and 23mm sockets of different types to see if I can try again.

So thanks for making me look at that video again. Hopefully something works.

I still would like to know how to remove the intake manifold, because I have 2 pieces of that insulation getting in the way and the metal part getting in the way. Is it a hard job to remove the intake manifold? And if I do, can I just remove all the stuff from the top of it and then pop it off?

And will I need a new gasket or can I reuse it?

    Thanks!

I agree the 5.7 is easier, but i still dug out and tossed some insulation to reach mine
