Ya, no plastic was to be found in mine either after shaking it upside down. I think I dodged a bullet as I could see stress fractures on the backside of the top tank. The new Denso rad is from a slightly different mold and the original metal brackets wouldn't transfer without modification but fit fine and seems to work. The tranny cooler hoses were plugged with magic markers when removing them and the cooler was filled and capped the before installation. Also, the Continental hoses seem to be slightly thicker than factory.

    Thanks everyone for your help!
