What are you guys seeing avg trans temps? I run 194 while highway driving and 197-202 towing.
Better than my 19 and 21 ( no real cooler) but still seems a little warm to me

About the same for me. While towing or in 30+ minutes of traffic I'll see it jump up to 203 but haven't seen it get any higher.

this is normal temp for all the new 10 speeds, if you start trying to run them too cold they will not shift right. The fluid is designed for this temp range, just make sure you flush it on a regular schedule

    Factory installed self-destruct device :D
I have seen up to 210 powering up long upgrades, otherwise around 190-200 most of the time.

Normal. I reached 190 degrees on a 17 hr drive down to SoCal. Hit 200 climbing the mountains. Added a trans cooler since then and haven’t seen beyond 180 on a 90+ degree day.

Yep perfectly normal as mentioned above. ATF+4 would get 225-240 in my drag truck after a pass and the fluid was still cherry red every 10k when I changed it even with 4wd 20psi boosted launches.

Pinned stat, on long rans like 100 non stop miles it can get to 165-170F, when get into city traffic it can reach 185-190. As soon as i get to HWay again it drops to 170 again. Outside temps are 85-92F all three times i monitored it.
Yesterday was 95F and on my 25 HWay miles trip it reached 155F

I easily go into the red (within 10 seconds) while in reverse, pushing/towing my work trailer up my driveway (uphill). Design flaw?

Towing a travel trailer weighing around 4k on hwy, around 170 to 180 temp on a 104F weather outside. Going up the mountains the temp goes around 230 temp and sometimes 233.

Highest I’ve seen was 225 going up some grades going out to Moab while hauling a dirtbike and tons of gear (90 degree ambient). Did a trip recently with less gear and only got up to 207 on mountain grades with 100 degree ambient temp. I regularly hit 190ish on my 25 minute commute bc of hills and red lights. I’ve been punting the drain n fill on my 66k mile trans that hasn’t been serviced yet. Keep ending up being busy on weekends

I've seen temps around low 200's with normal driving, 224* is the highest with the thermostat pinned open while towing the Toy Hauler. I have an external cooler to put on, but started to think twice because I don't want that be the reason my warranty to get voided if I do have transmission problems.

Had a 2022 Silverado 3.0 diesel, trans temp was always around 190-210 even with the trans cooler. I believe the newer 10 speed solenoid acutators are more sensitive to moisture, so keeping this temp doesn't allow moisture entrainment in the fluid.

And the thermostat doesn't open to the cooler until 195*.
Here's a comparrison of the trans fluid I pulled out vs. new when I did my flush and fill a few weeks ago.

Do you have a secondary cooler installed?

I have been seeing 187-197 generally. My long tow I did to Virginia back in February was the 203. I was shocked, and was pulling a 24' mostly empty race ready car trailer. Probably 4500 #'s.
