Interesting. Utah got rid of the front plate January 1st. The reason the legislature cited was "mass non-compliance". I'm assuming it was a money grab. a 50% decrease in plate manufacturing had to save someone money.

However, I have been driving for 20 years now and I have never run a front plate nor have I ever had a cop say anything.

Yeah, FL is claiming it will somehow magically reduce hit and runs ;)

Any pics of the rubber stopper or what part of the hardware store I'll find that piece in?

I got stopped in Ohio for it once. I had recently moved there and didn’t realize there was a front plate requirement. The plate(s) I received were very thin and stuck together. I unwittingly installed on the rear. I explained that I only received the one plate. He went around back and checked it out, but never said anything about two plates being there, he just wrote me a warning.

Not today, but I did this about a week ago.

    OEM grill and amber lights.
Yota expeditions led harness and camera bracket.

I did the cliche internet thing and lost my 10mm socket. I could not find where it fell for the life of me. Ive never lost a socket in an engine bay before. I didn't have a lot of time to look before the truck got driven. Good chance it's on the road now.

    PXL_20250731_024148107.jpg

I love the grill. I think Toyota should have included it on the rally package from the factory. I suspect they didn't because of the cost of the led bar. Running barless for now.

I've noticed the second T is pulling away from the grill. Looks like it's adhesive backed. Anyone else run into this?

installed a rough country soft roll up cover. For the money, I’m willing to give it a shot. Wanted to get something that didn’t take up any bed space but also didn’t wanna lose Had to modify the mounts and get some new hardware to get around my molle panels, but it turned out great!

I finally got around to replacing the front dash center speaker. Several months ago I replaced the front dash corner speakers with some Kenwood coax speakers but left the OEM center speaker in place. With the upgraded center speaker the difference is subtle but noticeable.

I'm now really pleased with the sound of my audio (9-speaker non-JBL system) and I am finished modding it.

My mods are: 3x Kenwood eXcelon DFC-X3C 2-way speakers in the dash and the BeatSonic in dash Amp/DSP. I find the door speakers fine and they produce a surprising amount of bass. The mid and high tones are much improved by the Amp and the Kenwood's.

Got some mud on the tires today on the right of way trail near the house after the rifle range. Truck did so much better than the fF150.
35”s made a big difference in dips and drop offs.

Just minor stuff. For example, Undercover bed cover, Tufskinz custom door sill protectors, and TRD air filters.
I would like to know more about your Banks pedal monster and iDash pro w/ pod mount. Have been thinking about those myself.

I finally got my Decked system installed - so stoked to have all my stuff in the rig now... I'm very impressed with it so far, working to re-org my kit and pack it on before I hit the road to Vermont, Canada and Maine for a week...

Now to get the 37's on and decide on a bed rack.....

Press in. Rubber stopper is slightly larger than hole. I'm sure you could use a little glue of your choice if you were concerned it would come out.

I think they look fine without the light bar!

My only gripe with mine is the camera harness routing. I unclipped two of the white retainers and added a couple of these to route the harness to two of the factory light bar mounting posts. It's secure, but somewhat visible from the outside.

Made a Safelite appointment to have my windshield replaced with an OEM Toyota windshield next week!

I came home from a trip to Colorado to find a rock hit it when my SIL was driving it last week. He felt terrible but it could have happened to anyone. The funny thing is I had just changed my deductible from 1,000 to 100 on my USAA car insurance for non-bodywork damage because I knew the cost for replacement/calibration of the acoustic windshield would be a pretty penny.

One thing driving me crazy was the glare at times from my hood. Last week I had this matte black hood wrap put on and no more glare at all. I love it!IMG_0361.jpg

You can also use plastidip, which costs you an $8 can of plastidip, some painters tape, and some dropcloth. Takes about 30 minutes and I'd argue it looks just as good as the pre-fabbed.

    I am VERY tempted.
I don't get the glare all the time, but when I do it is annoying AF.
I'm thinking I'll have them do it when I clear PPF the front.

@ChiefG What color is your truck? Looks to be Black or Blueprint, can't quite tell.

Cleaned her up this morning & hooked up a trailer for the first time. She pulled good, better than I expected, coming from a F250 Diesel I was impressed. It wasn't much weight, but it handled it quite well.20250804_115119.jpg

Thanks, yeah I know exactly what you mean. I only unhooked one white clip on the camera wiring and tucked it behind one of the letters I'm sure it will come out and hang at some point.

Was thinking about gluing it to something behind the grill which probably won't hold well anyways.

that's next on my list...... especially the edge nearest the windshield ... it can be a brutal flash off the white. Did you have a chain/shop do it ?

I just tried to have a 20" tire put on my spare rim last week and they said it would not fit, I did not think about finding a 20" rim for the spare - great idea.

Does it hang down further than anything else on the truck - I dont want to buy a 20" spare rim if its going to cause clearance problems
