I have the bushings, haven't installed them. I took all my skids off for various maint work, starting with O2 sensors, oil changes, lbj's the 2nd time in the past 3 years. I initially had visions of the FGT as my trail rig but while it's got nice gears for that now and the biggest lift and tires of the 3, it's heavy and towing/payload is reduced by the numbers. Given I don't have an opportunity to need skids, having them off works OK for now. I wouldn't mind an aluminum option, I really notice the weight difference between the RCI skids on my two Tacomas, the '05 is my lightweight 2wd so I have aluminum there and it's just so much easier to install/remove.

Cat shields are the only real concern I have with the FGT right now but it's parked inside and only used for kayaking / towing (once I finish the brake controller feed and ignition power to the rear 7 pin).

I do love my FGT but it's more like my sunday funday ride for the most part.

I want a GR corolla right now, but I don't want to get rid of any of the 3 trucks, I still use them all for separate tasks and I still love them all for different reasons.

Oh, and my shed setup, I have a skids shelf right now so storage and access isn't bad, it was kinda outta control with the stacks/piles I had going before. Spare wheels, skids, and mower/weedwacker along with takeoff grilles and such, all in the garbage shed, nice parts in the nice shed all in labeled bins. It's coming along really, just a bit more storage space and a maybe a 4 post lift (that would open up space for the GR for summer, truck for winter.)

An aluminum option would be so nice! But since I already bought the steel I don't think I would switch at this point.
But thanks for the post; you reminded me that I need to buy the backup light disable... *I see you aren't accepting orders at the moment.

@Kimosabe i have a pair of FGT DIR I made a while back for one guy who never responded once I made them. Hit me via DM if you want one. I need to make one for my own Tundra actually, I keep forgetting.

If you do happen to make some more, I'd be interested in the DIR and reverse T harness. Pretty sure we're close to each other so I could pay you in person for them, no need to ship.

Did you have to drive around the block a few times for that one or slam on the brakes going 70 down the interstate?

I broke the plastic thingy around the handle on 2 doors so I decided to go with the Sequoia dark grey. Actually worked out

Hardwired this dash cam to take advantage of the parking mode feature. Next onto the reverse cam/stereo.

Luckily it was a fawn, and we just drove over it. Still unsure if he's got the curse or not

How did the Damage Multiplier do?

Looks rough! Sorry! I hit one last year and it took about a year to finally get it fixed (hit with 2005 Canyon, Tundra was still parked at the time).

Currently have the truck (and trailer, hate to unhook it just for that) parked up at the church. Their parking lot is largely flat so I'll let it sit for 30 to 40 minutes and then recheck the oil level. That thread on "too much oil" has me thinking I need to drain out a bit!

Odd: one side of dip stick indicates she's low but the other side indicates she's way over filled!

    WTF mate?

Tight fit....took several hard heel-of-the-hand hits to get it in but it's stayed on since then (several days now) so I guess I'll buy 3 more. The others are missing paint/powder coating.

The skid plate took all of it. Crackie just looks like this right now. I hit a road sign about two years ago and a guide wire for a telephone pole in separate incidents which caused most of the cosmetic damage.

Crackie survived the fawn unscathed, the fawn.... not so much

Is "Crackie" your name for the Tundra?

I used to feel sorry for animals hit by cars UNTIL I hit a bear with my '02 Honda. After that I realized hunters aren't killing enough animals.
