Very good points... perhaps a Porsche should be in the cards.

We love our used cayenne that we got for dirt cheap. If taken care of, a Porsche can get you 200k milage easily.

I've heard a lot of good things about Porsche reliability. There are requirements, but as long as you do what's needed, they'll go for a long while.

I've done a lot of maintenance to it already. Can't complain a bit about its performance through. Thing runs like a top for a 9 year old car.

Well, putting my toy purchase on hold for a little while. We went on a vacation to Puerto Rico and stayed at the St. Regis. SOOO nice. Now we want to focus more on our home reno. The bathroom at the St. Regis was pinnacle level luxury. The shower in our primary bathroom is unusable. We've been getting by using the second bath with a tub/shower, but using a bathroom like that lit a bit of a fire. Demo soon.

Probably better tbh. I do think a new bathroom would be more regularly enjoyable than a boat or Porsche or BMW. I work from home and don't really drive on the weekdays. If I do it's to do some local errands.

Yeah, been looking at that stuff. Unsure if we want to do a shower tower or individual rain head with wand.

I like my rain head. Wife and I almost never find ourselves in the shower at the same time though.

Ours is like a 1.5 person shower stall, so it would be uncomfortable for 2.

I'll have to take some measurements of the current pan. I'm kinda dreading opening these walls tbh. Watch, I open this and find I need to replace loadbearing studs and shit. not to mention it's against an outside wall.
I'm curious how your experience with these has gone. I've heard some very mixed reviews for the sub $400 systems. I really like the Delta integrated and the Pulse systems.

This is the one I installed myself. No issues with it while I was using it, and renters haven't said anything about it in the last year

We don't have a very large area either. Which is why I went with what I did.

hmmmm... We are debating on a curbless entry shower, but this might be too small. Might make the whole room wet.

Cross posting to see if you guys have any thoughts-

Does anybody know if there is a drainage line that drips onto the skid plate from the hood/windshield area or something? I have this odd occurrence on my 2012 Where after it’s first oil change After I bought it, I attempted to clean the snot off of the skid plate Which was covered in old oil probably from prior oil changes (never leaked oil when I had it before the change)

Coincidentally not long after the first oil change like maybe a week or so we got a bit of rain (rare for us in the desert)

I noticed a drip on my driveway of what looked like diluted oil with water due to the viscosity. I looked all over the engine bay, wiped down the oil pan and never noticed a drip again up until a month or so later where there was a single drip again- coincidentally again after a rain storm. I can’t find any location for leaks And I’m wondering if this is a coincidence or if I might have a slow leak somewhere or if the hot desert temperatures mixed with some condensation or something eventually just cause a drip to move off of the skid plate. This situation again occurred this morning, again after another rain storm…

For reference, I park on a slightly sloped driveway so the drip is always in the middle of the skid plate at the cab most area.

I did change the full synthetic on my oil changes and wondered if the prior owner had used conventional and the synthetic was messing with the seals but again this drip is incredibly infrequent.

Thanks for the help, I’ve debated taking it to a shop, but it sure seems like something is dripping onto the skid plate and runningoff with a touch of oil but I’m no mechanic..
