I’ve been a lurker for years and decided I’ve done enough to make a build thread. I didn’t take pictures with the intentions of a thread so I apologize in advance for the lack of upgrade pictures.
My Tundra journey started with a 2000 DC SR5 that had Bilstein 5100s and 33s IMG_6501.png

The need for a double cab became apparent and I found The Tuna! I bought it stock with only one owner who was a Toyota Mechanic. It had 150k on the dash when I took the keys and now sits at 250k. IMG_2857.jpg
I’ve had this truck for 4 years and here is how it currently sitsIMG_2922.png

She sits on Toyo AT3 34s with rip off rock warrior wheels.
2.5 in lift in the front and Firestone airbags in the back
    New timing belt
    New LBJs(OEM Toyota) and UBJs(TTX)
Rancho Shocks (yes I know the bushings wear out, I was in a pinch and they were the only ones available. Once they wear out I plan on upgrading to Bilsteins)
Old school ARE camper with no windows
    New UCAs and LCAs
    TRD style grill
    Multiple LED lights
    Aftermarket front lights
    Extreme Duty CV Axels
    New Tie Rods
    New Sway Bar links

The first upgrades done were mostly cosmetic, there was some bondo left over from a repair where the previous driver side swiped a tree. IMG_2858.jpg
Then came blacking out all the chrome on the truck IMG_2859.jpgthen the ditch lights came in IMG_2860.jpg

and it’s first off road trip to break in the 4wheel drive, which included snapping the factory front axels IMG_2861.jpgIMG_2862.jpg

Then I upgraded the lights to aftermarket fronts IMG_2864.jpgIMG_2863.jpg

Then the suspension journey came. We camp a lot and I tow a trailer with us and we were squatting pretty bad so along came the Firestone Airbags IMG_2866.jpgIMG_2867.jpg

Next up an additional screen for trail routes and more lights! IMG_2870.jpg IMG_2872.jpg IMG_2873.jpg IMG_2874.jpg
    IMG_2875.jpg

And then to test everything out, a trip to Johnson Valley for KOH

Then got lucky and scored a used camper for cheap. It was in super rough shape, so then began the restoration on the camper
