I'll be the dissenting voice on this one with my vote, but I may also have some inside info.

Ladies and gentlemen, we got em. I’m an idiot. I’ve also never loved something harder. Just got home after a 25 hour test drive.

That's on the agenda! Along with LED's for the gauge cluster, replace the dome lights. Based off a rattling I hear at speed coming from the windshield- I think I might need new adhesive. The truck has had so much done to it, that there isn't a lot I can do right away aside from routine maintenance. Stoked to be in the club!

2005-2006 Tundras have LEDs soldered to the board on the gauge cluster. So there's one less thing to "update"

Can't imagine why, but you do you! Ask price is probably half what Tuna paid. 175k-225k is the "finally broken in" mileage range on these trucks. Basically, if nothing has gone horribly wrong by that point, you're golden for another 175k-225k easy.

I am assuming you flew out and drove it back home 25 hours?
Care to share on the trip? Where it was? Where you took it back to?
Thats a pretty good haul. Nice clean straight looking truck.

Looks good! Now you need to go update your original thread, then get some pics and post em up in the "lets see your 1st gen" thread.

Yessir. I paid for my dad's ticket so he could drive when I got tired. Flew from Rochester, NY to Austin, TX. 25ish hour trip back. Route
30 > 40 > 71 > 90. We made really good time (two overnights). First night drove from Austin to Hope, AR (first ever visit to Buc-ee's on the way here...holy fuck that place is bonkers). Hope, AK to Cincinnati. Along the way we stopped at the bass pro shop in Memphis (awesome place) and the Johnny Cash museum in Nashville (also awesome). Stayed the night in Cincinnati and drove the rest of the way home to Rochester. Stopped in Cleveland and did a tour of Progressive Field (I'm a huge baseball fan), which was cool as well. Gorgeous stadium.

Just got back from the DMV and Hoselton Toyota for an inspection. They were amazed at how clean it is.

edit: changed Hope, AK to Hope, AR. That would've been quite the detour.

Austin, TX. I bought it by DM'ing a guy based off a comment he posted on one of the tundra pages that he was considering selling. He's also active on this site, but I'm not sure what his username is.

Super nice dude and accommodating to my 15,000 questions. He took great care of it.

Now that you got it home, i would recommend coating the underside of it BEFORE winter. Like September, early october when things cool off, get it coated with woolwax or fluid film ect ect.
