For the last 10 years of doing my own maintenance and oil changes, I’ve used the head unit maintenance app. As soon as I finish my job (oil change, tire rotation etc), I set the schedule for 1 year (since I never get 5,000m in a year).
Previously, after this information is in the system, the dashboard maintenance alert would go away.
    Not this time.

Any idea why? And how to get rid of it? I will not go to any dealer. I have checked for head unit updates.
    Thanks!

May be in the truck computer don’t know about the head unit as I swapped mine in the first month of having the truck. Could be something mileage related longer term, Ie fluids change. May try going to the odometer button and put it on the odometer setting hold the button down and turn the key on, see if that re sets it

Turn ignition to on without starting. Press the button on the gauge cluster to get to trip 1 on the Odo. Flip key off. Hold down button on gauge cluster and flip key back to on. You'll see the reset timer counting down. Continue to hold until it's clear.

Hurrah!! This worked! I still wonder why it wasn’t necessary previously, but at least everything is now good!

That is a mystery ... I always thought the 5K maintenance required every 5k in MIDS with odometer trip A reset was seperate from the items added into the maintenance section of head unit.

In my factory head unit app you can set a date and a mileage for when your next service will be required. I set 5000 miles for oil changes and do tire rotation at the same time. I also set the date for service as 1 year, since I usually only get about 3000 miles in a year.
I have never set a schedule for any of the other items on the factory list of options because they are irrelevant with my low mileage. I just do em when I feel like
