i just use a-car (fuelly) to calculate based on actual miles/gals

the displays on screen never match the app numbers. at least the wife sends me pics of the mileage and receipt so i can input them into the app :)

Just minor stuff. For example, Undercover bed cover, Tufskinz custom door sill protectors, and TRD air filters.
The one photo is a relatively short trip doing 55 in 4hi. I try to go around 10 miles in 4hi, then find a spot to go 4Low in and out a few times to keep everything in working order. If I keep my foot out of it, I generally get around 19 +/- 2 around locally. On a trip from NJ to VA (187 mi), doing 70 +/- 5, I got 22.2 mpg. I use Sport Mode almost exclusively (55 and under) and regular mode on the highway. I never use Econ Mode because it tries to pull a higher gear. In Sport Mode, the rpm’s are a bit higher because of a lower gear, but it doesn’t have to pull a taller gear. Anyway, that’s my 2 cents for what it’s worth. The only thing I’ve done is put in TRD air filters. Looking at upgrading my exhaust, but I don’t want drone or loss at the lower end. May change just the muffler to increase exhaust flow. It is not the iForce Max. A great day to all. The other photo (19.5 mpg) is my typical 11-12 mile trip to McGuire AFB from my location.IMG_6315.jpg

I'm not sure if others are finding this out or not(or if it's a hybrid thing or both imax and imax force models?), but I'm seeing with my 1794 hybrid, my mileage goes higher when I'm in ACC and let the computer go in/out of battery mode as it sees it needs to. I'm just over 5,000 miles now, and it seems like my mileage is starting to increase. I'm now seeing about 19mpg around town, and on the interstate on a 1600 mile trip 3 weeks ago, I got 19.5, 20.1, and 19.1 on the trip using manual calculations. (I pushed fairly hard on the trip - keeping it about 85 mph or so most of the way when I could, basically, flowing with the traffic around me. )

Yeah, depends on big tire or small tire, I am running 275 65 20s and was going to run 275 60 20 which was basically the same tire but they weigh the same. I get 15-16 mpgs now after the upgrade. Going from ISO tires to straight ATs is a beotch, and you are going to get less mpg, period.

I now have a bit over 6300 miles and finally beat my old 22.9 mpg. Did pretty good keeping my foot out of it. IMG_7697.jpg

41,000 miles on my 2023 Tundra. I've put around 10,000 miles on it in the last three months, and it's averaging around 19.9 miles per gallon.

I’ve got less than 1,000 miles on my new engine in my 2022 Limited OR. On my last trip I actually got 25.9 mpg.

That’s pretty impressive. Did you actually calculate the mpg or rely on the dash?

I’ve seen pretty wide ranges for fuel economy. Obviously a good bit of the variance depends on the driver. That’s probably the biggest difference in reporting. I’ve always been able to achieve at least or better than epa estimates on my previous vehicles. I also drive on “eggshells” when I’m optimizing mpg. I’ve been a “little” disappointed in not being able to keep up that standard with my 2025, but my mpg is not that far below epa estimates. I reset mpg between fill-ups. My manual calculations are always higher than the dash.

I just feel like there is so much variability between drivers, and possibly as much variability between individual vehicles that we are constantly doing apples to oranges comparisons.

It is interesting to see reports of improvement after engine work has been done.

I calculated the mileage as well. I really had nothing wrong with my previous engine. The best I got with that one was 23.5 mpg. I drive it easier when I’m doing a max mileage check. The only change I ever did, so far, was install TRD air filters.

Most of my driving has been highway miles. Which means, and I know this is debated in other threads, I'll be changing the oil every 5k. I had an '86 intercooled Buick GN and I ran it hard, but the oil was changed every 2500-3000 miles and I never had an issue. Not the same engine, but the same principle.

3in lift, 34in tires, air damn removed, non-hybrid....averaged 16.2 on a 300 mile trip with a mix of backroads but majority highway
