Yeah I get what the standard warranty covers. But you said the platinum warranty covers the battery components in your original post. The screenshot above clearly says the platinum warranty does not cover hybrid components.

You are Correct Here is a better break down of what is not covered under TFS Platinum, I apologize because it is covered for 10 years or 150k Miles from the factory warranty toyota provides.

Hybrid Components NOT Covered Under TFS Platinum VSA:
    1. Hybrid Battery (Traction Battery)
      • Not covered by the Platinum VSA.

      • Covered separately under the Hybrid System Warranty (usually 8 years/100,000 miles, or 10 years/150,000 miles in California and CARB states).
    2. Battery Control Module (ECU)
      • Excluded from Platinum VSA.

      • Covered under the Hybrid System Warranty.
    3. Inverter with Converter
      • High-voltage inverter is NOT covered under Platinum.

      • Covered under Hybrid System Warranty.
    4. Hybrid Transaxle (MG1/MG2 Motor-Generators)
      • These components are part of the hybrid drive and are excluded.

      • Also covered under the separate Hybrid System Warranty.
    5. DC/DC Converter
      • Not covered by Platinum.

      • Covered under Hybrid Warranty.
    6. Hybrid Cables and Wiring
      • High-voltage cables generally not covered.

      • Basic 12V wiring might be covered if related to non-hybrid components.
    7. Fuel Cell (for Mirai or future hydrogen vehicles)
      • Not covered by Platinum.

      • Covered under separate Fuel Cell Warranty (for Mirai: 8 years/100,000 miles).
What IS Typically Covered in a Hybrid Toyota under Platinum:
    • HVAC system (blower motor, compressor)

    • 12V electrical system components (alternator, starter, relays, fuses)

    • Powertrain (ICE engine, transmission – not hybrid drive motors)

    • Steering, suspension, braking (non-regenerative parts)

    • Computers/sensors not specific to the hybrid drive

    • Display screens, infotainment, cameras

    • Navigation system

    • Interior/exterior electronics and mechanicals (mirrors, window motors, seats)
    Important Fine Print to Note:
    • Hybrid coverage limitations are detailed in the "Exclusions" section of the contract.

    • TFS Platinum is exclusionary, meaning it only covers parts not specifically excluded.

    • For full hybrid protection, the factory Hybrid Warranty (8yr/100k or 10yr/150k) is your best fallback for those components.
