So far all I’ve purchased is 1 10” Orion midrange loud speaker. I’ve seen some boxes being sold on Amazon but not too sure what will fit my 2019 Double cab under the back seats. I have the back seats that fold up. Anybody have experience with this?

    A couple of things...

Unfortunately, that woofer won't fit under the backseat of a double cab (or behind a crewmax for that matter). There is about 6" of clearance under the seat including the box walls, so once you get a box built and allow for woofer clearance, you are hard pressed to fit anything other than a shallow mount under the seat. 3-3.5" deep subs work best; anything over 4" mounting depth is a real struggle and usually runs in to interference issues. The box also needs to be sloped down in the back to fit the contour of the seat bottom.

Second, the Orion Cobalt speaker that you purchased is a Pro Audio mid range; it was designed to play lower mid and upper bass VERY loud, but is not going to play any real bass. Also, it will wants a huge box. I'd recommend returning it and looking for a shallow mount/reduced depth woofer. It physically won't fit under the seat. Granted, if you remove the seat entirely you can put whatever you would like back there, but I don't think that's what you are going for.

I have a double cab and have tried shoe-horning all sorts of subs under the seat. A shallow mount really is best. Even a simple Pioneer TS-A series shallow woofer will sound good in a sealed box and fit nicely under there.

Take the guess work out of what's best or what will work and send James Randy Taylor a message. He's the guy. Super nice and very knowledgeable. You won't find anyone better to talk to or buy from.

Ha. I had one or two of them under the seat for a long while. One is now in the back of the neighbor kids crewmax; the other is built in the rear floor space of the other neighbor kid’s RAV4. They are underrated.

This is the advice I’ve been looking for, thank you for that. I haven’t done any audio mods in any vehicles I’ve owned so there’s definitely a good learning curve.
Would you message me and maybe attach some products you’d suggest I look into buying?

Let me know if something like this is a good option!
