Decided to bring the ole 65 Nova SS home today. The Tundra is smooth as silk. My son is behind me in his 95.5 Tacoma 4WD, V6, 5 spd. It’s kind of a magical journey together. The Nova has been 2+ hours away for over 7 months while we freshened her up.

That brings up a great question.. how do you guys get me most power off the line in these tundras for some peelies? Tow+ mode or sport? Turn off traction control and Auto LSD on? Sport mode on the shifter? If so, what gear? :burnrubber::bikewheelie:

Reminds me of the good old days. These turbos launch hard.
TC - off, LSD - off, tranny - manual mode in 1. Left foot deep on brake, right foot on gas.
Slow step into accelerator & let brake pressure off slightly until wheel spins, & totally off brake once (only one tire will be spinning), let tire smoke begin. Keep stepping into gas & be ready to slap shift into 2 before hitting rev limiter, be ready for 3.
Dry concrete should get you well over a truck length mark with stock tires. Bigger tires driveline things may start breaking…

Well went to replace the cabin air filter (Amazon) and the engine air filters (TRD performance). Found that a mouse had been making himself a nice home in one of the engine air filter boxes. Chewed a hole through the plastic mesh and was using the sound deadener material as stuffing. Took the boxes out and actually has a nice easy place to put some metal mesh between two pieces of the intake tube. Cut some leftover material I had sitting around to the shape and put a couple dabs of glue around to keep in place, not needed though. Removed both sound materials and glued plastic baskets back in place. Well worth taking a look in there fellow Tundra owners. Maybe took me an hour to total but good piece of mind now. Truck has about 20k miles. 2023

Also recently did the eyelid tints and really like how it turned out. Almost looks like it was supposed to be there and hopefully will help protect that plastic facing up.

I finally received my Black Armor bed mat for the 6.5' bed. I like it, tighter fit than the OEM one was in my 2.5 gen. I waited 5 weeks for it to arrive, so I had better like it lol.
