I have a 2018 sr5 , was getting oil change at dealer and they mentioned i had a coolant leak , it seems to be small , they recommend replacing the hose but it looks good to me , seems like the clamp might be the issue , just curious if anyone had something similar and what the fix was

if you zoom in, it looks like there are "teeth" where the hose attach, and on top, they are not covered like they are everywhere else. I am wondering if you slid it back on further and got it tight again if that would solve it.

Hard to tell but hose does look like it's showing its age. I think you can pick up a hose and clamp for about 60 bucks. I would take a look at the battery and clean terminals if needed. Take care.

Maybe it’s the grainyness of the picture. But is the hose dry rot? It also appears as if it’s been messed with, as it’s not in the position it’s supposed to be on the radiator tube.

It does look uneven. Open the clamp and reposition the hose, maybe replaced with a regular clamp..

There's a lot of layers to that photo. Everything looks covered/caked in coolant, all the way over to the battery, so I'd assume they aren't lying to you. The visible leak at the bottom of hose supports the issue. You might want to try to reposition it, but as previously stated, new hoses and clamps are cheap and then you don't have to worry about it again. Seems like a good opportunity to just do maintenance on the entire system. Upper/lower hoses, clamps (if you wish), thermostat, new coolant, and don't look back.

This ^^ and I would also replace the radiator while I was at it... water pump, tensioners, drive belt etc... if they have not been serviced as they should have been.

Had the exact same thing on my '16 with ~100k miles. Replaced the upper hose (Toyota OEM) and problem solved. I reused the original clamp. Been a few thousand miles with no issue.
