Hi all - need some advice please! Have a 2010 Tundra, only 53K miles, garage kept, overall great condition except the front corner of the frame, which is rusted. Still drivable, but the frame will need to be replaced in near future. Toyota dealer said rust is more than normal wear and tear and submitted a request to Toyota corporate to replace it; however, corporate said they cannot, as they do not have the part available anymore. Thoughts on replacing the frame with a used frame through a body shop, or selling the truck as is?

If it’s only one portion of the frame you could always find a well rated rust repair shop that does frame work. We have a few in the area and they will descale it, remove the pieces they need to and repair the frame. Might be worth a look especially if everything else on the truck is in good shape.
