You got after it! Is the ride as expected? I’m glad you were able to get the front end sorted out with stock springs back on there. oh, and that 1/4” lean will be completely gone as you drive down the road; road crown slants to the right, so the vehicle will ride level. Even if on level ground, the 1/4” difference means about zero in the real world, so don’t sweat it.

Yes, the shop redid my struts with the OE springs since they needed to disassemble to get the boot off. It was covered under warranty. The rides is so much better than those black Hitachi. I labeled the springs for them in case they messed up again. Lol. I do not want to go back for another correction. I'm pleased. 1/4 inch lean isn't much so I'm okay with that.

Both my knees replacements were amazing. 1st one was 2008, the other knee was 2015. Both are wonderful.

If you are an active person, the recovery is going to be great.

Is it just me or does everyone get excited working on this truck?

installed TRD pro intake tubing, replaced air intake filter, cleaned throttle body and replaced throttle body gasket to remove that tundra “whine”.

Looks great and the throttle plate looks super clean. Did it stop the whine? I’m thinking of doing the same thing to mine.

Yep it did for me. Though mine was a very mild whine, very soft but noticeable enough to annoy me, kinda like my ears ringing.

Booked an appointment to get an Overland Tailor Tune.
Looking forward to having it done. I had a 5.3 Chevy truck that had intake and exhaust. It had a horrible drone under load. Once I had it tuned it ran so much better.
I'm hoping for some noticeable improvement.

New water pump should arrive this week. Block and heads went to the machine shop last week. This week we should find out how much we need to machine the block then order pistons etc. Head porter should be back this week also and we'll see what we can do to get some more cfm out of them. From the looks of things exhaust side has some room for improvements for sure since its not even close to matching the gaskets let alone all the other areas done on heads.

I've had both traditional and my current softopper. I prefer the softopper because of its removability, I've got the ability to fold it up if I can't get one of my trailers. Everything I keep in the bed is secured and waterproof also. I also couldn't see putting a traditional on a crewmax, at that point you might as well have bought a Sequoia in my eyes lol.

I wasn't aware MWR made parts for the 5.7. I had a bit of their stuff on my old XRS. I miss that car. But, if I hadn't traded it in I don't know if I'd have my Tundra now. The XRS.jpg

Noice! I picked mine up at a yard too and pulled the longer overhead console as well.
