My 2025 Tundra Limited has a cool feature on the tailgate handle that is a small led light that comes on with door openings, or manually turning on the cargo light. It does a great job lighting the rear area behind the tailgate, and is especially useful when towing. My son’s SR5 doesn’t have that tailgate light. Looking at my factory window stickers I don’t see what package actually adds the light, guessing might be when side mirrors BSM - blind spot monitors - are added.
Has anyone tried adding this light feature to a lower trim grade?

Trucks with 360 camera have that handle.

Appreciate that. Both trucks have the reverse camera, so didn’t see a difference in that handle.
Wondering is someone on the site had prior experience if the light would work should you change out the module.

Trailer Reverse Assist Light. I was calling this the wrong name. Found the light in the parts manual, 812C0-0C010
Pretty slim chance that there is a spare harness plug tied up in the SR5 waiting for TRAS to be installed. The tailgate handle facia that comes in black & chrome would also need to be changed out. I may take the tailgate inside panel off at some point and see if a harness is already there.
