Now the pics you've been waiting for! Tundra in the Wild....

We'd just finished tying down a 200 pound load of tree branches that were overhanging part of the property, blocking driveway access and making it harder to mow. House in background burned down sometime between 2020 and 2024. We generally use two 50' ropes to tie down brush loads but I only had one. Still, we tied it down well enough that we lost nothing (and nothing hung out beyond the trailer sides) for the 30 mile Interstate ride back home. We dumped that load the next day in our home landfill.

Man, wear breathers, boots, and heavy gloves. You don't need hantavirus or to get stuck with an old hypo. Take some spray bottles of ammonia and spray anything that looks like mouse poop before cleaning it up or even disturbing it. Good luck.

Got the wheelers superbumps installed this evening easy 30 minute job. Driverside was a lilttle tough to get out nothing a little heat cant handle. I took it around the block hitting speedbump around 20mph i definitely notice the cushion. The passenger side is slightly touching the lca.

    CC80guy,

I plan to research a bit more and order some better PPE gear before we start on the inside.

Thanks for the advice on the ammonia and spray bottles. Rats probably do still live in that house, thanks to the utter ghetto that surrounds the entire property. However, I do not think any food remains for the rats to eat while there but they probably still nest in there.

Crackheads trespassing and asking us for "work opportunities" (AKA "give them money") still happen. It's unnerving when you are working hard and BOOM one has gotten way-too-close without the slightest announcement of their trespass. Meth users abound and can be completely unpredictable.

The owner was providing on-site security while we worked (after a bad experience with three meth heads) but he had a foot operation and can't walk right now. We can't afford to hire security or off-duty police.

Found out my alternator on sequoia is on its way out. It's the 150 amp option.

Think I'd regret replacing it with the 130amp version? It's available locally. The 150 is harder to find and would have to go through dealer. (I'll only use Denso or Toyota).

I don't have any addition /aftermarket electrical loads. Just all the factory options.

Thinking I'll just do it and could always upgrade later and repurpose the 130 to the tundra...

New kO3s came in 285/70/17. The last set of ko2s lasted 60k miles and still have a ton of meat left.

Run it. I'm sure you'll be fine. Just check on the voltage occasionally after install to be sure it's getting a full charge all the time.

My KO3s are doing well, need to get more soft sand/ Big Bear snow slush driving in with them before whether I reccomend them as much as the KO2s. Otherwise, no regrets.

Yeah my ko2 are great. Never had a flat or a patch. Doing a drive to San Diego tomorrow in the am and back. Then straight to the tire shop for the swap. They are just getting hard and noisy. Giving the take offs to my buddy’s so they can all have a full size spare.

It’s probably my imagination but I think the KO3s are much smoother riding…. I am freakin loving them!!!

I second that. I've been running 1200 watts of amps for 2 years on my 100A alternator and haven't had any problems. Yet.

Thanks. Yeah I'll go for it. Just wish the denso 150 was available so I wouldn't have to worry if I made the right call. Or I wish it happened a couple weeks ago to where I could have got the July 4th Toyota parts sales ..

the 130 is at napa and with a 20% online discount the price is not much worse than I could do online. Especially when I consider I'll save core return shipping cost and hassle.

Just glad this didn't happen a few days earlier. First symptoms started the same day we finished our camping road trip (800 miles) which included some gnarly roads in the north Cascades. (Including harts pass for anyone who is familiar). Would have been a shitty place to to have problems...

I work with a woman that bought a house like this in Denver and as soon as they started going through it, paper stock certs and $2 bills started falling out of the books and stacks of newspapers piled everywhere. Turns out the deceased owner had inherited three generations of wealth and hid it in the trash in the house. It took them two years to go through every book, magazine, scrap of paper, coffee can etc and they ended up finding $25,000 in just hard currency which was enough to cover the down payment on the house and property. I think all in they got almost $100k back out of the house which was like 20% of the purchase price.

my buddy gave me a full set of these out of his GX. Do they just bolt in on the Tundra or do they need some kind of mount? I assume I need a spacer or something for the rears.

Similar happened with a neighbor in the n'hood. Older dude. The woman he settled down with ultimately, even though they never got married, when she passed he was clearing out her books. He had no idea she'd been stashing cash in the books. But he'd been an alcoholic at one point, and that was how she hid the money - she knew he had trouble reading and would never pick up a book. All total, after pulling 100s/50s/20s out of the whole lot, then doublechecking and finding he missed some, he pulled out "some amount in the 5-digits" (he'd never say, but the stack was taller than he could pinch between thumb and middle finger).
