I had 2018 tundra and I put 100k miles on it. And traded in for nice 2024 Chevy Silverado 6.2lV8 with rocky ridge package 6 inch lift. And so far I put 12k miles on it. It’s awesome truck but it has major engine recall. And now I decided to come back to tundra. And will trade in for 2025 limited iforce crewmax

Welcome back! It’s all good. Sometimes it nice to try something else out. Toyota is my favorite brand.

Wait wait wait. You are coming back because Chevy has an engine recall.

Welcome back, but so does Toyota and those 25's aren't safe, AND are outside of the recall for now. I'd just really rethink the motivation.

Not just a recall it’s actually Gm solution to fix the recall. They are saying we will do little periscope test on engine and if test fail we will replace engine but if it’s pass we will change oil to 0040 something. And mostly people are getting the oil change only. And on the other side if Toyota has engine recall they are directly replacing engines.

I have one of those in my Yukon. I admit I don't love that solution.
