I see hairs in the poop so most likely carnivorous

Also congrats on new home in the beautiful Sonoran Desert ... this thread brings back memories. My wife is British and we got married in '82. I remember catching a Tarantula on the flightline after a monsoon downpour and bringing it home and she absolutely loved feeding it cricket in the terrarium we made for it.

They have had a few coyote bites in Lake Las Vegas and Henderson area mainly because others feed them. Theory is they got got mad because they weren't fed when they came in close contact with victims. You probally should Cowboy up with a Glock or something until you learn the ropes of the area.

I wouldn't shoot em for shits and grins, they are normally very skittish towards humans however they are very bold when when operating in a human enviroment. Any signs of agression I think you have a legal right to dispatch.

You are in luck, NFA items are legal in the State of Arizona. A basic .22 with a threaded barrel and .22 rimfire suppressor and no one will know a thing.

I am not encouraging you to break any laws. Just in case you ever have to deal with varmints without upsetting the neighbors.

Just follow the 3S's, shoot, shovel and shutup.

Wife won’t let me have one , she put her foot all the way down on that, so I lost that one.

we’ll see if that changes if we get invaded lol

but I don’t want to turn this into a gun debate thread, if that changes I’ll hit you guys up with what to get

Well at least you're trying to figure out the animals in your yard where right now I hear multible sirens and the Ghetto Bird circling in our Las Vegas neighborhood aka Northern LA:rofl:

F'k it, Trout stocking tomorrow so I'm going to target stripers for the first time at Willow Beach Arizona. No that's not me:)

IMO Javalina are the biggest threat you typically come across. My wife was walking dogs right near the UofA and one charged her there. I have a squadron that visits my yard nearly every morning and they will come right up to the house and are not scared of me at all. Also, they love to dig up roots of newly planted shrubs and trees.

I may have to look into a .22 with some kind of suppressor as suggested above. The 30-06 may disturb the neighbors.

It took my wife a bit to warm up to it, but it’s kind of necessary with the wildlife we get, especially in the more remote areas.

We got lucky once, and cornered a single one in our side yard after we got home walking the dogs, our 30octothorpe minpin/bulldog flushed it out and I chased it down the street growling and screaming at it like a madman. But if there were two or babies, it would have been a different story….

I don't think anyone has filled him in about the microbursts. I've had to pick up clay tiles from my roof 150' from my house.

It was always part of the plan. It's just time.
We were casually/semi-serious looking, found a place in Oracle a few weeks ago that we wanted, put in a full price offer. After a couple weeks, seller decided she didn't want to sell. But we figured we'd just continue with selling our house.

Giving up a 3% interest rate though is tough.
