This thread is dedicated to engine swap experiences. Let's not derail it, please. Thanks.

Apologies if this is not the correct thread for this question but I was just in for an oil change/service, 2nd oil change after engine replacement in April. It's a 2022, ~51k miles. I remember before I had the engine replaced the dealer service advisor said at a prior service visit that it needed a "Fuel Induction Service", I skipped it at that time and they just told me the same thing at this last change. Would this be a valid thing after a new engine? I'm not sure if the parts being serviced would have been replaced with the engine swap or not. When I asked the service advisor they gave me some vague answers so I skipped it again.
I couldn't even get a clear answer from the dealer about what the service exactly consisted of.
Curious if that was a BS service after engine swap.

Had my engine replaced this week. Dropped off 9:00 Tuesday and received a call stating it was done Wednesday around 16:00. Picked it up Thursday morning.

Was done by Precision Toyota in Brandon Manitoba. Everything went as smooth as possible and they washed it after. Overall a positive experience.

First impression of new engine is good. Feels a hair more responsive and mileage is at least as good if not better and it’s not even broken in yet. Idle might be fractionally rougher at startup but feels smoother once up to temp. Will drive it another few weeks and report back.

Did have an interesting experience when I asked about warranty tho. Was told it was only 30 days!!! I was a little irate but decided to call Toyota Canada. The mothership said it was 12months/20,000kms. Called dealership and discussed with service manager. He said he would look into it. He did, called me back and confirmed the 12/20. Had a bit of an aneurism thinking that I just had a problem free engine for 125,000kms swapped for one with a 30 day warranty!!! Was quite relieved after.

The apparent ignorance of some of these service managers never ceases to amaze me. How could he not know what the warranty was for the new engine?

Glad you had a quick turnaround and the new engine replacement appears to have went well.
