Just wondering if anyone has had a replacement motor and that failed also. I tried to search but found no results.

Basically if I didn't have an extended warranty I would have 9k left on the factory warranty. In theory if the engine failed in 30k miles on the factory, I would not be covered.

I'm not saying Toyota would not intervene, but it could be a serious problem if they denied coverage on the replacement motor once past the factory.

They didn't give me a buy back option so I have the new motor with 74k miles left on the extended warranty.

    Just worries me.

Yes. Ones in yellow are double fails, seems to be very rare.

One would be enough for me on any vehicle to say goodbye if under 100k miles.

Why are you worried with 74,000 miles left on the warranty?

If he puts on more than 74k miles in just a few years, he’s justified in worrying about it.

I am not sure, I lifted that from a link @sudobash posted in another thread.
