Couldn't have been any worse than carrying a snare pad and "the bells" (think xylophone) a stand, and an assortment of sticks/mallets.
But that was just a small price to pay to be a cool percussionist. Even if I sucked at it

Seeesh, feels like it’s been 10 years already.

I remember when Photobucket was a way to swap risque photos. I'll never forget being in junior high and seeing some huge tits bound in rope.

I got the kids a really nice Yamaha e-kit to learn on. It's really damn nice. When it comes to e-instruments or acoustic guitars, Yamaha is my brand of choice ever since the Yamaha e-piano I bought them several years ago. It sounds better than a number of upright pianos we've played. Overall been very happy with the drums, even if the kit doesn't get used as much as the piano, they and their friends enjoy it, and quite frankly, all the options in the digital trainer for various drum/setup outputs is great. But I'm not a drummer by any stretch, so can't comment knowledgably on how it compares to a real-life kit, although the setup feels the same at any kit I've ever sat at, minus the rec room couch for a seat.

Since my wife has now retired from the Air Force, she brought up wanting to learn to play the drums again. After watching Ted Lasso, I told her she can learn using pillows, LOL. That looks like a cool setup to get her so she can learn. What model is it by Yamaha?

I've never had anything Yamaha that I didn't like. A/V receivers, instruments, engines, they're all top notch.
