Recommend solid low profile running boards

Just purchased a 2025 Tundra Limited crew max in Lunar rock. Looking for a black running board low profile. Looking for any recommendations. So many out there

 

Usually there are some options over in this sites 3rd gen marketplace forum. The Toyota TRD aluminum step rails are very well made, really good looking and lighter than some of the aftermarket. There was a take-off set on that forum last week. Their like $1000-$1500 new from dealer.

How low profile are you wanting. The GoRhino DSS are pretty shallow.

 

Appreciate it, these all look good and have me some places to start.

 

I use the Rough Country RPT2 which are duplicates of the running boards on the Raptor (hence the name)

I chose them because they are very wide but super low profile and the brackets aren't very visible from the sides. The width also protects the truck from careless people swinging their car doors open

 

I'm getting some Go RHino RB30 Slim. Seem to be the fine line between slim yet functional.

 

I was between these and the RPT2s but I didn't like how low the brackets came on the RB30s

 

Is that in reference to the brackets under the boards? No plans to rock crawling so I should be able to clear most city obstacles.

 

Yep! Exactly. I didn't like the look but they were a runner up for me, they're definitely nice

 

Gotcha! Doesn’t really stick out to much to me. I’ve had rock sliders for the past 8 years. I got a killer deal on the RB30s that I couldn’t pass up. Maybe I’ll get some weld on rock sliders in the future. That’s truly the cleanest look.

 

Cool is good, practical is another perspective. I like the Toyota Predator that came on our 2025. Meanwhile our 13 year old Australian Shepherd votes for my other Tundra’s TRD running boards, as they are much better for her loading herself up in the backseat.

GoRhino RB20 for me. Very pleased with both the form and function.

 

I did the AMP Powersteps and absolutely love them.

 

Those are the exact ones I purchased yesterday. They look good on your truck. Definitely makes me feel good about my decision.

Let us know how you like them - I believe there were also some complaints that they aren't wide enough and the footing becomes awkward (especially for us old people) on the way in/out of the truck. If you're used to it then I don't think it's an issue, more of a problem for the ladies/passengers.

 

GoRhino Dominator D6. They still look good after two years, not too wide but just wide enough for your foot and allows some extra protection from door dings.
