    I wouldn't , no way

what we do need is a 6.2 iForce turbo V8, then we can all get along.

    I do love a good V8 rumble.

Not once have I been disappointed in the sound of my Tundra. I guess I’m a simple man. That or the power and torque keep me smiling enough to not worry about it. Turbo noises are pretty satisfying as well.

Yeah, I thought by now they would at least have some converts from 2nd gens to 3rd gens. As more years gets on the new generation, 2nd gen owners will be swapping out or maybe driving a Ford or GMC but then they decide to come back.

I did exactly that, but that still doesn't justify being a douche just because others prefer the previous truck.

Problem with AI ... Bullshits people.
I still wouldn't buy one as Toyota will probably piss-up that one as well.

Curious as to why you left the Ridgeline. Been considering trading for one when the 26 year roll out.

From my perspective - what we do need is a 6.2 iForce turbo V8 that does not have a random fail rate, then we can all get along.

Well maybe if they wouldn't come in here to let us know every time a 3rd gen blows up just what POS we drive then I wouldn't have to defend them and be a douche according to you. I mean I would really be a douche if I went on the 2nd gen threads and told them what BIG OLE POS they drive?

    wouldn't I.

While The random fail is true, I failed in wording. I suspect it's not really random, Toyota knows root cause(s) which they will keep to themselves as they should. It's the fail mode, no warning, as my source of disappointment.

Those two trucks had over $5,000 difference in sticker price when bought new with only one year separating them.
I would hope the 3rd gen Limited Hybrid hasnt depreciated that bad..........

Yep. Phase 5 as one of the later 22s off the line.

Not sure recall is primary factor to depreciation. Certainly is a factor. The deep discounting and cheap financing is inspecting used Gen 3 for sure.

Best resale is when new ones are in short supply and selling at list

    Laughable.

Allocations for the 2026 started dropping about 10 days ago. None of them list anything but the V35A. This is from SR through TRD Pro. No Capstone allocations yet and that probably has to do with the update that is coming to that specific trim. HINT: not engine related.

The 3G are not a POS. They’re nice trucks. If not for the problem with the 3.4, I’d own one. Toyota needs to solve the problem once and for all, then we can get back to talking about cam tower leaks, broken seat plastics, and the upcoming V8 release date.

Yet they still let their heavy duty trucks have a Glitter Disco Party in the fuel system and have not tried to fix it, doubled down and continue to use a faulty fuel pump that IS GOING to puke metal shavings into the fuel system. I mean, why not figure out a filter or something, it cost them between $14,000 and $20,000 to fix every single time one goes bad and THEY DO go bad while still in the warranty period. I gotta friend who had 3 fuel pump/fuel systems replaced during warranty period on one truck. How on earth does Ford continue to swallow that kinda work on warranty claims over and over daily and not do something about it?
