Folks, I like the more functional center storage console that was available in the first generation Tundras. Not sure if it depended on the trim or year or both. I have the basic version in my 02 SR5 A/C

So I found one at a used parts yard. It's in "ok" condition but would like to minimize the scuffs and scratches. Problem is I am not sure if that is possible with the material, presumably plastic. Maybe painting would help by coloring the scuffs?

So thought I'd ask the forum to see if anyone has suggestions on making it look nicer. Would also be interested to know if anyone has swapped out the more spartan center console for the nicer (in my opinion) version. Curious about connecting the electrical components.

    My current setup

Nice! I did this upgrade a couple of years ago. Got mine from a JY Sequoia. One of my favorite upgrades since I’m a big proponent of a clean interior but carry lots of sheet with me. Will search and see if I can find it.

Here it go. You’re going to have to fab up a bracket unless you snagged that, too….

A heat gun will do a lot to restore the color and should remove some of the smaller scratches once you do a thorough cleaning on the console. Look it up if you haven't done this before, there is room for error...
