2019 TRD Pro with Navigation and am curious if there is a setting I am missing regarding keeping screen on navigation map as opposed to having it split with audio or whatever. I would like map for whole screen.

    Thanks in advance.

    Ugh... I'm trying to remember.

I've swapped out the horrendous head unit in my 2019 but I'm almost positive you could make it full screen.

What happens if you just tap on the NAV portion of the screen?

Here's a picture from when I Googled "2019 Tundra NAV"

You can touch the navigation side of the screen when it's in split-screen mode and it will change to full view. There may be a setting to default to full screen navigation when it starts up. It's been a long time since I messed with mine.

When you start up your truck, the screen will go to the Home Screen. Looks like you can set it up for two or three panels, but not just one. You can change this by pushing the Apps button, clicking Setup, and clicking Home Screen. The only option I know of is once you stat up and get your Home Screen, just touch the Nav section of the screen and it will show the full Nav screen.

Yes, touching the nav screen changes to full map, but it only lasts a couple minutes and reverts back to dual screen. Seems like a dumb design.

Pretty much everything about the OEM head units is disappointing. Toyota did a lot of things right on our trucks, but the HU ain't one of 'em.

Lucky for you, there's a solution for that.

    Lil' bit.

I justified it by the legitimate need to monitor transmission temps while towing.

I just realized that I may have forgotten to tell my wife I could've accomplished that with a $40 OBD reader and an app on my phone. Ooopsy!

Hmmm? My wife knows I'm a monitoring addict. I might just have to try this justification for a new head unit.

She hates the factory JBL just as much as I do.

It’s been a while but I think there is a setting that says revert to Home Screen. If you hit radio does it do full screen and then change back quickly as well? Pretty sure it’s just a setting that you have on

Make sure to tell her she can just sit back and enjoy the in-flight entertainment on your next road trip.

Like @Alex261 said, it must be a setting. Mine does not change back. I also can't argue with getting a new head unit. I've been thinking about it for a while. Just keep coming up with other things to spend money on.
