Hey everyone. Thoughts on this truck. I’ve been keeping my eye on the used Tundra market lately. This one caught my eye. A 2019 SR5 with just over 136,000 miles. One owner, clean CARFAX. Considering replacing my 2010 with 202,000 miles. Or just dreaming of a newer truck. lol

Looks good!! Do they have all the service records?
That's a really good price too IMO.

I haven’t reached out to them yet to take a look at it. Just ‘window shopping’. I expect a lot of people to be interested in it. May go tomorrow sometime to look at it.

I gotchya! I had to be talked down several times on pulling the trigger in getting a new truck. I'm glad I waited. Got my 14 and it's everything I want and nothing I don't.

I went from a '00 with 205K to my '19, and super happy with everything except having a payment now.

My 4.7 1st gen was going strong and never gave me any trouble, but I wanted to get ahead of the inevitable upgrade and snag a 5.7 while there were still some available.

Found a CPO lease turn-in w/20,000 miles and jumped on it.

I gotta' say, I love the color!

Same. My 2010 is paid for. I’ve done quite a few upgrades to it. Can’t go wrong with the silver color. One of the best in my opinion. I also like the LED headlight upgrade on the later 2.5 gens. Makes them look more modern.

I originally thought I wanted MGM.

Silver cars used to be kinda' "Meh" boring to me, but the silvers they have now have a lot more depth to them, like liquid Mercury.

My wife made a point that this wouldn't show dirt as much, and the more we looked at it the more I liked it.

I agree about the LED's, the blacked out background and the DRL's look really good. Sometimes walking up to my truck in a parking lot they'll catch my eye and make go "Ooohh, that's sexy"

    20241130_133647.jpg

All the chrome, not so much but I don't hate it enough to do anything about it.

MGM is a good color too. I especially like it on the TRD pros. The black and gray really complement each other.

Always good to like the vehicle you own. I like the pic too. That’s some decent off roading with what looks like a stock Tundra. lol

Nice. Seems like silver is a popular color on the Tundras. SR5, silver, with the off road package is the sweet spot on the 2.5 gens in my opinion. Heard back from the dealer. Going to take a look tomorrow morning. We’ll see how it goes.

That was the first camping trip after replacing the OEM Michelins with some Toyo AT3's, so I had to go out around the campsite and conduct some testing, of course.

Took it pretty easy since it's completely stock and our ride and tow vehicle home.

My wife does like it when I romp on it down the wash and get a little sideways though. The dogs were not nearly as impressed.

Nice. That sky is beautiful. Peaceful and serene. Sounds like a great time. Glad the Tundra did well.

Just looked at it. It was a no guys. Only real plus side was the frame was in a lot nicer condition than mine for sure. lol Scratch on the driver headlight, rust bubbling up on the drive side door sill, rust on the bottom of the tailgate, faint scratches all along the passenger side of the body. My 2010 isn’t perfect by any means, but in some cases it was better. There was also oil or gas on the top of the driver side of the engine. It looked fresh and wet. Mine doesn’t have that. The brakes were also very unresponsive. I had to depress them a lot further than my 2010 to stop. Taking into consideration how much I’ve already done to my 2010, it just wasn’t worth it. I’ll keep what I have and do little upgrades at a time. At least I got it out of my system. I still walked in with a Tundra and walked out with a Tundra.

Sounds like you made the right decision.

Now you can take some of the money you kept in your pocket and do that mod you've been thinking about, and still be ahead of the game.
