Yeah we're pretty spoiled here. I try to make sure to get out and take advantage of it.

Not exactly postcard weather right now though, it was POURING last night, flooded my patio and started coming in my garage when my drains couldn't keep up... ugh.

    Where you at?

Congrats on the new truck! Welcome from NE Oklahoma. What part of Kansas are you in? I have fam in the KC area, try to get up there a few times a year. I too joined the Tundra ranks with a 2017 Limited almost 2 years ago. Had a few 4Runners beforehand so I have a soft spot for them, but the Tundra is so much more comfortable and conducive to family stuff. But like the 4Runner, there is a huge support system for your truck of aftermarket parts, upgrades, tutorials...you'll find a ton of useful info on this forum and there's a yt video for just about every mod and maintenance item. Looks like you have a nice truck to start with, I'd say just drive it and as you see a need arise, find a solution. At least that's kind of what I've been doing. After a while, things like remote start or a bed step or a stereo with car play showed themselves to be something I'd use a lot, so I came here and did some research. As I mentioned there is a really robust ecosystem of parts out there for these trucks which is awesome; you can really make your ideal rig. I think you'll find the Limited as plenty of creature comforts but the things it's missing can easily be added too.

Here's the most recent pic I have where I was sizing up a 3rd gen with a similar look. Enjoy your Tundra!

@TreeCat I just logged back into this forum in several months! Forgot about it for a minute, but what part of NE Oklahoma are you from? I'm from Southeast Kansas (Close to Pitt State). I appreciate the feedback and have been constantly shopping for this thing lmao You've got a nice looking Tundra! Long term ideal build would be 3'' King coilovers and shocks and piece together control arms, bump stops and all the other goodies, RRW wheels and some 37's. Want to keep it relatively simple, but quality parts. What all have you done to yours?

Congrats on the new to you Tundra. I switched from an F-150 XLT SuperCrew to a 2014 SR5 CrewMax about 6-7 years ago and haven't looked back.

I haven't gone crazy with mods, but not for lack of wanting too. I have to get stuff like that cleared through the General of the household.

I live in the Tulsa area. I know I've seen Pitt State signs driving through Joplin/Carthage on my way to KC. I like the mascot
Sounds like you have a solid plan going forward. I haven't done a whole lot yet, mostly smaller functional stuff. But I was able to get a new head unit for a great price. Idk if you read any of the Alpine/Kenwood mega sale posts on here from a couple years ago.
    Weathertech mats
DIY door sill protectors cut from griptape
Meso customs dome and map led panels
    Alpine ILX-F511 head unit
Rear seat double usb port upgrades
    400 inverter
    Tyger roll-up tonneau cover
    Bed step
The previous owner installed trd pro headlights and powdercoated the tss wheels

Good luck with your build and post some updates as you go!

If you wanna fit the biggest tires on your truck with the least amount of cutting keep your wheel offset as positive as you can. Ideally +35mm to +50mm

Enjoy it. It'll serve you well. Made the right choice avoiding the V6 models these days. Drive it, get the feel for it, start with tires and fluids. Got mine new on my good ol B-Day in 2018. About to hit 97k miles on it now.

    Old pictures inbound:

Make some memories like this. He's quite a bit older now but still. You get the idea.
