i watched three different videos, each one kinda tells you where to line things up. if they're already lined up then you're good to go. i did something while trying something and the alignment got fucked, so i had to open it up. i think i plugged it in to test it and it worked, but everything over rotated and i couldn't get it back into place. turned into open-servo surgery.

    you got this.

Yeah, I think I've watched every video ever made for this thing. There's only so many ways to explain it without physically seeing it to understand. Either way, I'm sure my alignment is off somewhere. It definitely snapped into place when I got the part seated, but not getting defrost tells me maybe one of the levers held by rubber bands or pushed into place slid out of position when I did it. Time for some more open heart surgery in the Tundra. Only a few more things to take care of and she'll be ready for another 100k. At 237k now!

mine is at 276 and i've been dealing with a lot of the PO's deferred maintenace. i've only put ~40K on 'er. right now i'm refreshing the front suspension; new shocks & springs only go so far in improving ride quality. all new OEM LCAs & hardware going in (the originals had shitty MOOG ball joints with torn boots and bolts that are as loose as... well, you know), new OEM tie rod ends (the originals are toast), new OEM sway bar end links (the driver's side LCA's threads were stripped, so i've had no front sway bar functionality for about three years now). really hoping she drives a lot better $1500 later o_O
