Thank you for the information i have seen the bed tsb not the tailgate one until now. my window sticker shows that my truck was produced at the TMMI plant so my truck falls under both service bulletin's. i have provided Toyota with the TSB number of the bed but say it would only be covered under warranty.

i saw it on the news and went to the dealer the day after the case reached settlement but i was told itll take about a year for any action to be seen at the dealerships. my argument will be that my bed rot will spread to the frame causing the frame to rot due to their being no bushings like the cab.

I know this is an old post, but does anyone have a cost for these bed parts if I were to attempt to do that repair myself?

Your best bet is to buy a used bed that has no rust and have it painted to match. I'm going through this issue right now. The floor of the bed is 3 separate pieces seam sealed together.

Normally yes, I'd buy a bed. It's going in for the frame replacement in a few weeks. If the parts are reasonable I'm ahead of the game to pay for it. It's getting disassembled and reassembled at no charge under the frame coverage.

You also have labor to completely disassemble the bed and put back together

I'd pay slightly less for the complete bed, have to drive 4 states and back (16hrs) for a rust free one. Then it needs repainted and installed. (Probably another 4hrs minimum)

Yes, theres labor and weve just estimated how much time that is. My hourly pay rate is over $50hr, so I'm ahead of the game to have it done. If there's less than 10 shop hrs in the floor replacement....highly likely.

I would get an estimate done then before hand. When I went last year for a estimate they quoted me around 5k for parts labor and paint to fix my existing bed. I've found a couple of used one from $1500 to $2500 withing 5hrs drive of me.

I understand this is an older thread, I have a 2007 Tundra Limited and having the floor rust issue in the bed. Has the Line x sprayed onto it too. The previous owner didn't have it repaired. Im looking into solutions and seeing people had success in having it repaired by the dealership. The latest one I have seen was back in 2017. I've been looking at the TSB for it and it says it is now obsolete in 2019. So question is, how likely would they still repair the bed or replace due to the TSB and no cost to the customer? I've had the truck a little over 3 years and want to keep it as along as possible. It's a great truck and completely paid off so to me its even worth the cost to either repair or replace the bed. But if they can repair it or replace it at no cost then i'd be crazy not to take advantage of that. Idk if there is anyone that has dealt or tried to go this route recently. I was planning to call them tomorrow and see where it goes. Worst they can say is no.

They won't replace on their dime. The rust warranty was open for 5 years after manufacturing date. I took mine in 3 months after the 5 year mark and they wouldn't do anything for me.

Geez that's unfortunate. Welp, welding can't be that bad then. As long as its repairable of course.

The bed floor and the walls of 2013 Tundra TRD has a non-skid black color paint. This paint feels quite rough to the touch like 80-grit sand paper, and it is quite common with trucks in the interior of Alaska. If I am not mistaken the finish is Rhino Paint. I found this page on the internet and it shows a similar bed liner as the one in my truck:
