DD SS6 or BD s2 SAE Fogs

After 2+ years of the factory crapola fogging up with condensation and just have had enough. So reading this thread has rekindled on pulling the trigger on BD S2 SAE,I need some help with check out,why isn't the BDForums code not working at checkout?
Any help would be appreciated.

I have the bajas sae version. They’re solid good light, but don’t expect to illuminate the whole road in front of you. They are street legal so the cutoff is pretty sharp. They look damn good and strong. The install is a pain in the ass though. Constantly had to take off the bumper plastic piece to align it exactly.

At this point I'm torn between the s2 or holding out to see what diodes new stuff is like.

Wallet is burning a hole though.

Was it the cut off alignment left to right & fanning them both apart for a broader range or the "cut line" for consistency.
Did you mark the top cut off line on the wall with the OEM POS ones and spotted front tires?
All honesty I didn't think it would be cut and dry & I don't mind going the distance for a quality product and it should be well worth it in the end.

No matter how you align them you won’t see a difference honestly. It was more of an OCD thing for me. One you out it on one time you’ll see where you need to adjust it. For me mostly up and down was the issue, again not much room just few mm up or down. I just wanted them to look perfect. Keep in my mind these are not designed specifically for the tundra, I believe only the bracket is. So it still looks kinda aftermarket just harder to tell.

 

Ok,so I'm gonna ask it,is it worth the time and is there a noticeable difference?

BC I too suffer from "mild" OCD & I'll use that loosely, and now I get it that after re reading this thread and (the Blabernet) that there isn't a True cut off,I know everyone is different and has their own benchmark.so now that you have them installed are you happy/satisfied with them?

 

Doesn’t take too much time, it’s not the hardest or the most time consuming install I’ve done. I think it’s all relevant to the price. Does it look good and is it strong, well yes. Is it worth the price, probably not. I guess that’s why I don’t see too many people having them on. For just fog lights most people will probably be happier with something cheaper cuz if you have the expectation that these are going to light up the road, you’re gonna be disappointed. With that said, I love driving them on at night, and don’t have to worry bout blinding anyone of course.

 

I didn't anticipate using them as emergency lights to land small aircraft,but it's the quality I'm looking for,I'm just tired of bullshit products promising this and that but this seems to fit the bill of being strong in construction and a good reputation.

Then go for it. They are well constructed that’s for sure. I personally also try to go for good quality products. That’s why I was saying if you’re the average consumer then u probably won’t care for that and get something cheaper. But if you like to have the peace of mind and don’t care to spend the extra dollar on it, it won’t disappoint. I’ll try to take a pic once it gets dark here, I dunno how well it’ll show but I’ll try.

 

Do you all leave your fogs on all the time? Just curious, as I have the switch on the headlights but didn’t know if people just leave them on.

I live in Rural Georgia, so extra lights wouldn’t be bad

Yes, I run my BD S2 fogs during the day, everyday just for extra awareness to other drivers. They are a very high-quality light and their customer service is top notch as well.

 

The one on the light switch on your car? Or an aftermarket one?

 

I had them running off the OE flog light switch in the Tundra and now they are running off an Upfitter Aux switch in the GM.

I personally run the BD Sport fogs....although not street legal, I mostly drive in the city with them. I do turn them off, just to be nice but Ive yet to get flashed by other drivers with fogs on...I give them a quick dual 20" BD light bar flash back when they've flashed me for no reason though.
