I really can't imagine someone hasn't figured out an engine bay mount yet

I just got the brushless twin compressor, it comes with a new mounting bracket. Now, what’s stopping me from mounting it right on top of the fuse box on the passenger side in the engine bay. Did a quick test fit, it has enough clearance. The fuse box cover is a little flimsy of course but I don’t think it’ll be a problem. It’s just a cover and can always be replaced, and because the way the it mounts it can easily be taken off to access the fuse box. But, I have almost never needed to access it anyways in any of my cars.

I'm planning on using Apex Overland's mount that places it behind the grille/in front of the radiator, and routing the air filters back into the engine bay so they are out of any direct streams of water/etc.

While their mount says it is for the Sequoia specifically, I'm confident that with a bit of test fitting and maybe a fresh cut on their laser table a Tundra mount can be made

I know for the brushless one, it does specify to not mount it by the radiator.

You're going to remove the active shutter system to mount a compressor?

So like I mentioned, finally got done with the brushless arb install along with caliraised oem style switch. Feels solid. Good product, tons of air.

I mounted my air compressor in the bed. I have a Smart Cap so it's protected and away from engine heat. I needed all the space near the battery for fuses, master cut off switches and circuit breakers for the light bars, winch, and other bolt ons. I used a $250 twin compressor that puts out 10 cfm with a MorrFlate 4 hose manifold. I can open the side windoor, connect the MorrFlate system and connect all 4 tires. It airs up all 4 in 3:35 minutes. Additionally, I can pull the compressor out and use it standalone with another vic's batttery.

Nice dude. I’ve heard of that hose. I don’t even have a basic one yet lol.

Not familiar with the channel but I always like learning new shit especially bout cars/trucks. So I’ll definitely check it out. To be honest I would’ve never gotten the arb because of the price but someone owed me money lol, he had one brushless brand new. I didn’t even know they made those until he told me. I got lucky and he got lucky. So ended up getting for equivalent of 600$.

That's a good deal then. I had an ARB single in the engine compartment on my 2.5 gen and never had any issues with it. Wired a power switch into the dash like you did there. It was a little underpowered because I really bought it for an air locker but ended up repurposing it for an inflator. Definitely wouldn't do that again.

Nice install you got there tho. Highly recommend a 4 hose manifold kit whenever you get a chance. You can even buy the parts off Amazon and build one yourself as a fun weekend project if you're bored.
