This has been bugging me. No pun intended. Does anyone else find it a pain in the ass to get bugs and leaves out that settle at the bottom of the turbo radiator shrouds?
Thinking about trying to drill two holes in the bottom of the shroud and fishing a heavy sip tie through the holes to give me something to pull the shroud down just enough to flush it out when needed.

I'm not even sure what area you are talking about. Can you post a pic?

I will say, I find the whole grille on the Gen 3 to be the biggest PITA to clean of any vehicle I've owned.

The plastic shrouds that direct air to the intercoolers are ridiculous. They collect so much crap at the bottom, its hard to keep clean. I have some big metal screen to mount over these, but have to remove grille to do it, so I'm waiting for a good reason, or some extra time.

Matt2015. Tried to get a pic but it's hard to get the camera just right. Anyway Depending on your grill style if you look at the bottom of you "turbo radiator the plastic shroud to funnel air comes right up against it's bottom. First experience I had with this was in the fall and notices leaves at the bottom of the turbo radiator. It was a pain to get them out. Used a vacuum extension and also crawled under the truck to get them out. If you go under the truck you can see the bottom of the shroud up against the radiator and if you can get a finger nail hold on it you can pull it down just enough to get debris out. These so far thankfully haven't needed to be cleared that much but when you do it's a chore. If they would have left a half inch gap at the bottom things would just flush out with a water hose.

Thanks, but I'm still not picturing where you are talking about.

But that's probably best, because I'd obsess over keeping it clean....and I don't need any more of those type areas on this truck.

    Good luck.

A bird keeps trying to nest in mine. I’ve pulled out the beginnings of nests like 10 times since last year. Always the driver side for whatever reason.
